One year ago today I had the blessed opportunity to be a part of a wedding that was not only beautiful, but truly was a story of hope..I got a call last minute to photograph a wedding as the original photographer could not make it due to the weather. I was waiting in the church and saw The Father of the Bride walk in and immediately knew something was wrong...he was nearly in tears....he began to tell his story because it was clear he was in disarray and those in the hall began to ask if he was Ok. I had lost my father almost one year prior....I had to walk outside...cry and cry more....He made it for his daughter....he not only made it...he showed up and made sure she never knew the "mountains" he crossed to be there for her until the reception....it is a true representation of a Fathers love....I just want to reflect on this because not all of us have fathers on this earth but we do have a "Father" and this wedding reminded me of that. If you have not heard this story I am adding links below!

Hurricane Heleneโs destruction was not going to stop David Jones from getting to his daughter Elizabethโs wedding in Johnson City, Tennessee, Saturday. Not what was supposed to be a two-hour trip from South Carolina turning into a seven-hour drive, nor an additional five and a half hours on foot...
