Every year I show up in your feed with this same message and every year I mean it more. Get. In. The. Photos.
Not when you lose the weight. Not when your hair is done. Not when the lighting is better. Now. As you are. Because that is the version of you your children are going to want to remember.
One day they won't be small enough to crawl into your lap. The chaos will quiet down. And what they'll reach for, I promise you, is a photo of their mama, right there in the middle of it all.
So this Mother's Day, let someone else hold the camera for a minute. Hand it over, squeeze your babies close, and just be in it.
