Hi friends! It’s been way too long

I’m currently rebuilding and refreshing my photography portfolio, and I’m looking for a few wonderful people to step in front of my camera!

Here’s what I’m looking for:

Being able to hold onto my creativity over the years has been nothing short of incredible. I’ve walked so many different paths in this life, and I’m truly grateful to be exactly where I am today.

This afternoon, a group of amazing women gathered at Sugar Britches - my home away from home - to share the stories behind their small businesses. They spoke honestly about their struggles and their successes, and every word was inspiring. Hearing their journeys reminded me just how powerful resilience, passion, and community can be.

Hello!
Long time, no posts.
I'm not going to sugar coat this. I have been struggling with my mental health. I was trying to rush it, because photography has always made me feel better. This session did, but I'm still not fully ready to take on a bunch of clients yet.
I am getting ready to go to therapy, and start working on me, so I can be a better photographer for you! I want to thank everyone who has stuck beside me while I have taken time to heal. I will be ready to take on clients soon!

If 2020 has taught me anything, it’s that I need to grow more. I realized that I am holding on to a lot of past trauma, and I need to heal from it. It has taught me that even on my good days, I am still susceptible to depression’s grip, and that’s okay. Healing is not linear, and I don’t need to heal overnight.
This year has also shown me that I hold on to my past way too much. Even the good parts. I try to relive those moments, and push aside the bad. I need to grow out of that phase of life, shed my skin, and be more proactive in my future.
Which brings me to this:
Firefly Queen Photography. The name has served me well. When I first started my business, I held onto a childhood name. Firefly Queen. And even though it’s not bad to hold on to the good parts in life, I also need to realize when it’s time to go into a new direction.
This next year I am going to work hard on my future. I am so thankful for the people who continue to support me. It means more that you guys realize.

I’m excited to announce my new name

I am ready to move forward for the better, and I am excited for future projects I have waiting for us.
