Ever since I was a little girl I've had a huge passion for the art of photography. This pretty gal booked a River Mini with me and let me tell you, there were so many times that I had to stop for a second just to openly rave about what I was seeing through the lens. The natural beauty she had was captivating. 🤩
I think people get so used to seeing themselves in the mirror that they don’t even realize how beautiful, new, and exciting they are to the people around them.
Ronda told me that she hadn’t had her photos taken since high school and had been on the edge about booking.
Reading her review afterwards made me think, “This is why I do what I do.” I want to give people the chance to see themselves in a new light. 💡🧡

I recently went out and shot a session with Calvin, a high school senior! We caught the tail of golden hour and shot until dusk, which provided a fun opportunity to play with all kinds of lighting! What do children remember? Like actually remember? We all know they will soak up all the moments, words, and actions of everything… after all they’re little sponges, right? It sticks for a while, but eventually most of it will end up forgotten. By the time we’re adults we’ve probably forgotten a good portion of our childhood. You know what sticks with them though? YOU. YOUR ACTIONS. YOUR LOVE.

With the holiday season coming up I just wanna encourage anybody who is responsible for a little person to stop for a second. Trust me - I know it can be hard- but take a break from the rush of parties, shopping, gift wrapping, schedules and stress to just breathe. Be present in the exact moment where you are. Look at your kiddos. Remember how little they used to be. Admire how small they are or how grown up they’ve become. Just hold your little ones for a second.

They will remember how much you cuddled with them and held them close.

They’ll remember the tone of your voice, the loving whispers, and warmth of your hug as you love on them & comfort them.

They’ll remember the goofy faces you made just to make them smile.

They’ll remember how much they laughed as you wildly chased them around and joined them in their world of imagination.

They’ll remember when they got your undivided attention or when you took the time to teach them something new.

Those memories are the ones that stick. It’s something that takes no money, but is invaluable.

I was lucky enough to see some of those moments through my lens and capture them. These photos make my inner child happy. 🧡

I LOVE getting to shoot in different places… especially when it’s somewhere that means something to the people I’m working with.
We got to go out and shoot family photos for the Rakow’s and their family on Mary’s land and it couldn’t have been prettier. The happy attitudes of the family were enough to make the evening special. Even the pups were all smiling for a couple of the photos! I’m so excited to edit this gallery and send these photos out!

I normally don’t book family sessions, but I’m so glad I said ‘yes’ to a few this season!

This sweet family was just too beautiful. The kiddos were balls of energy, ready with nonstop smiles and tan along with all of my quirky prompts I had for them… for the most part, lol. The littlest had a heart for exploration and kept us on our toes like a healthy toddler should. 😊 Rolling with the energy and adventurous natures, we captured some really adorable true-to-life moments. I’ll share some of them soon!

“Your butt is glowing”
I was super confused when my most recent bride-to-be looked me in the eyes and stated that as a fact. I looked down thinking maybe my phone flash light had turned on, but instead it was my string lights that I had totally forgotten about. Somehow they had turned on and were radiating light out of my jean pocket. I’ve only ever used them for fun personal shoots, but had decided to bring them for funsies. I’m so thankful that she spoke up about my ‘beautifully lit butt cheek’ because otherwise we wouldn’t have these pretty evening shots. 🙃
