Asher + Claire showed up, looked absolutely adorable, and made my job way too easy. These two were so much fun to photograph, and I loved getting to capture a little piece of their night together.

One of my favorite things about being a photographer in Jasper is getting to photograph these moments for the people who make up our community — watching these kids grow up, celebrate milestones, and getting to be invited back year after year to document it all. It’s something I never take for granted. 🥹📸

Another Jasper Homecoming in the books, and I’m already looking forward to the next one. 🪩✨

Another Jasper Homecoming has come and gone! ✨📸

I had the opportunity to capture Flynn & Carrigon for their freshman Homecoming, and these two brought ALL the energy! From the laughs to the personality, they made my job pretty darn easy. 😂

Flynn is the youngest member of the Bolack family, a family I’ve truly loved working with over the years. I’m so thankful they keep inviting me back to capture all of these big moments as their kids grow up. Getting to watch those milestones unfold through my camera is one of the best parts of what I do. 🖤

Kohen is one of the coolest kids I know, and I have absolutely loved getting to watch him grow and mature into the hard-rocking young man he is today. 🎸🖤

I first met Kohen years ago when I worked for his parents at our local brewery. Fast forward all these years later, and now he’s rocking out on the sidelines as an electric guitar player for the Jasper High School marching band.

It’s honestly one of my favorite parts of what I get to do — getting to watch these kids grow up, see their personalities come through, and document the different seasons of their lives along the way.

The Bagwells have trusted me with their family’s memories for years, and I truly can’t say enough about how much I love working with them. It’s such an honor to keep getting to pull out my camera and freeze these little pieces of their story.

I got to do the cutest branding shoot for Golden Hour Hair Studio in Gardendale, and I had SO much fun with this one! 🤎

We did a little mix of on-location photos around the salon + some fun backdrop shots, which gave us the perfect combination of showcasing their space, their work, and the personalities behind the business.

And let me just say… Kelsee and Carson are a BLAST to work with. 😂 They make it so easy to have fun behind the camera, and I think that personality comes through in these images so well!

It’s been a little quiet around here because I’ve had my claws in these last few weeks of summer, soaking up every bit of time with my boys before they head back to school. 💙
But I couldn’t let another day go by without sharing this beautiful graduate!

Next week, Makaleigh will take part in her pinning ceremony as she celebrates graduating from Wallace State’s nursing program. What an incredible milestone after so much hard work, determination, and countless hours of studying.

Getting to photograph graduates as they step into the next chapter of their lives is always such an honor. There’s something so special about capturing the excitement, pride, and anticipation before a career they’ve worked so hard for officially begins.

Makaleigh, congratulations! I have no doubt you’re going to make an amazing nurse, and I can’t wait to see all the lives you’ll impact. 🧡

We’ve welcomed quite a few new followers recently, so I thought it might be a good time to reintroduce myself and share a little about the person behind the camera.

Hi, I’m Allison—the photographer behind Flower & Forge.
I’m a wedding photographer, artist, wife, and mother to two wild and beautiful boys who keep life equal parts chaotic, humbling and full of joy.
I believe wedding photography should be more than documentation. It should be art.
When you look back at your wedding photographs years from now, I don’t want you to simply remember what your day looked like. I want you to remember how it felt.

My style is bold, colorful, and story-driven. While trends come and go, I’ve always been drawn to rich color, genuine emotion, beautiful light, and the little in-between moments that often become the most treasured memories.
Every wedding I photograph is approached as a commissioned work of art. You’re not just hiring me to document a day—you’re trusting me to preserve a story, and that’s something I never take lightly.

Though most people find me through my wedding work, my passion has always been storytelling. Whether I’m photographing a couple on their wedding day, a senior preparing for their next chapter, a graduate celebrating years of hard work, or a woman stepping into her confidence during a bo***ir session, my goal remains the same: to create images that feel authentic, meaningful, and uniquely yours.

If wedding photography is creating art from someone’s story, then styled shoots are where artists get to dream.

This Monet-inspired soirée was overflowing with texture, color, and intentional design. The jewel-toned draping, crystal chandeliers, painterly florals, candlelight, and curated cocktail details came together to create a scene that felt straight out of a masterpiece.

These are the kinds of colors that inspire me most. Bold, vibrant, and full of depth. They don’t just photograph beautifully—they evoke a feeling. It’s a big part of why my editing style has always leaned toward rich, true-to-life color rather than trends that mute the character of a scene.

Every detail deserved its moment, and photographing this incredible design was an absolute privilege.
