We’ve welcomed quite a few new followers recently, so I thought it might be a good time to reintroduce myself and share a little about the person behind the camera.

Hi, I’m Allison—the photographer behind Flower & Forge.
I’m a wedding photographer, artist, wife, and mother to two wild and beautiful boys who keep life equal parts chaotic, humbling and full of joy.
I believe wedding photography should be more than documentation. It should be art.
When you look back at your wedding photographs years from now, I don’t want you to simply remember what your day looked like. I want you to remember how it felt.

My style is bold, colorful, and story-driven. While trends come and go, I’ve always been drawn to rich color, genuine emotion, beautiful light, and the little in-between moments that often become the most treasured memories.
Every wedding I photograph is approached as a commissioned work of art. You’re not just hiring me to document a day—you’re trusting me to preserve a story, and that’s something I never take lightly.

Though most people find me through my wedding work, my passion has always been storytelling. Whether I’m photographing a couple on their wedding day, a senior preparing for their next chapter, a graduate celebrating years of hard work, or a woman stepping into her confidence during a bo***ir session, my goal remains the same: to create images that feel authentic, meaningful, and uniquely yours.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family, caring for our ever-growing collection of animals, exploring new places, or finding inspiration in the beauty of everyday life.
Flower & Forge was built on the belief that photographs can be both memories and works of art, and that’s exactly what I hope to create for every couple who invites me into their story.

Now that you’ve learned a little about me, I’d love to learn something about you! Tell me where you’re from or how you found Flower & Forge in the comments.

If wedding photography is creating art from someone’s story, then styled shoots are where artists get to dream.

This Monet-inspired soirée was overflowing with texture, color, and intentional design. The jewel-toned draping, crystal chandeliers, painterly florals, candlelight, and curated cocktail details came together to create a scene that felt straight out of a masterpiece.

These are the kinds of colors that inspire me most. Bold, vibrant, and full of depth. They don’t just photograph beautifully—they evoke a feeling. It’s a big part of why my editing style has always leaned toward rich, true-to-life color rather than trends that mute the character of a scene.

Every detail deserved its moment, and photographing this incredible design was an absolute privilege.

🎨✨ A little piece of Monet, brought to life for one unforgettable evening.

As photographers, we spend most weekends documenting real wedding days exactly as they unfold. Styled shoots are different. They’re a chance for wedding professionals to gather together, dream a little bigger, and create something purely for the sake of inspiration.

This spring I joined other creatives at a styled shoot hosted by The Southern Bride at the Grand Hotel in Fairhope. One of my favorite designs from the day was this stunning ceremony setup beneath a breathtaking live oak draped in Spanish moss. The floral installation transformed an already beautiful setting into something truly unforgettable and showcased just how impactful thoughtful design can be.

Beyond the beautiful details, events like these are a reminder of how collaborative this industry really is. Some of the best ideas, friendships, and professional relationships are built while working alongside other creatives who are just as passionate about their craft.

I have so much more to share from this day, but this ceremony design deserved a post of its own.

This spring graduation season has been a busy one, but I can’t wrap it up without one last graduation post before we return to wedding season coverage — and I’ve saved the best for last.

Katelyn graduated from Wallace State with her RN, and I could not be more proud of her.

When I watched her walk across that stage, I was filled with the kind of pride and hope that only an older sister can understand after witnessing the journey it took for her younger sibling to achieve their dreams.

I’m not just proud of the degree or the license to care for others that she earned. I’m proud of the hard-fought battle it took to get her here.

No one on this earth can say Katelyn is not determined or persistent, and that is what I’m most proud of. Against the odds, through long hours of studying while working full time and juggling everything else life threw her way, she succeeded. She won.

And though I’m trying, I still can’t fully put into words how immensely proud I am of her.

She has always had a heart for serving others, and now she gets to turn that passion into a career. Nothing is going to hold her back.

Good job, Bug. I always knew you could do it. 🤍

And finally, Bridget. ✨

I’ve had the joy of photographing Bridget through so many seasons of life over the years, so watching her walk across the stage last night (thank you FB Live) felt extra special. It’s bittersweet knowing this chapter of senior sessions has come to a close, but I’m so excited to cheer her on as she heads to the University of Alabama this fall.

To Bridget’s family — Patrick, Aubrey, thank you. Your support over the years has meant more to me than you know. It’s been such an honor to document so many important milestones and memories for your family, and I’m incredibly grateful you’ve trusted me to be part of them. 🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛

Katie’s cap & gown session was such a fun one to photograph, because she made it all her own!

I loved that she chose to do something a little different by incorporating a pink (her favorite color) cap & gown alongside her traditional school colors.
She also joined in on one of my favorite senior trends lately by bringing along a favorite childhood toy for a few photos, and I absolutely love the sweet nostalgia it added to her session.
It felt like such a perfect way to celebrate both where she’s been and where she’s headed next. ✨

Congratulations, Katie! I hope you have the best time at Auburn and I can’t wait to see all the amazing things ahead for you!

Today feels like a good day for a group photo post🎓
I’ve had the pleasure of watching these kids grow up over the last several years and it’s bittersweet seeing them take this next step. As they walk across the stage tomorrow, I wish each and every one of them the absolute best on their next chapter and future adventures. I can’t wait to see what they accomplish next! Congratulations and so much love!

Up next is Ella! She’ll be walking across the stage at Jasper High School this week and heading off to the University of Alabama this fall! 🤍🐘

Getting to celebrate seniors during this season of life is always such an honor, and Ella made this session so much fun. She brought the sweetest energy to every photo, and you can just feel the excitement of everything ahead of her.

From late night study sessions to senior year memories and now graduation week, this chapter is officially coming to a close — but something tells me the next one is going to fit her perfectly.

Congratulations, Ella! I can’t wait to see all the amazing things waiting for you in Tuscaloosa. ✨

It’s graduation week which means I’m filling your feeds with some of my favorite senior and cap & gown sessions from this year 🎓✨

Kicking things off with Gavin’s senior combo session! From the classroom to the track, this guy has put in the work and it definitely shows. Between the countless medals, accomplishments, and memories made along the way, Gavin’s senior year was one worth celebrating in a big way.

I loved getting to capture both sides of this season for him — the polished cap & gown moments and the athlete who’s spent years pushing himself to be faster, stronger, and better every single meet.

Congratulations, Gavin! I can’t wait to see where life takes you next. 🖤💛
