Little update

we returned back to school August 13th + our first week with kiddos is this one!! (Almost to Friday)

while it is good to finally get back to a regular schedule, this transition has been HARD. For not only me (being ‘off’ since having Charlie in April) but for my toddler, when I’m home our time often consists of snuggles with only mom and absolutely no one else, Moms you know what I’m talking about!!

ON TOP OF IT ALL - we are battling a double ear infection AND a sinus infection (me… I am…)

LONG STORY SHORT 🙃

Your galleries are coming - I promise. I’m not ignoring your messages. Bookings are being completed. I have SO MANY SESSIONS TO SHARE.

The photos you didn’t even know were being taken? The ones after the prompt has ‘ended’ or the ‘practice run’ photos you’ll ’never see’. Those are my favorite.

I love giving you a prompt and watching the natural interactions unfold. However the true magic happens once the prompt ‘ends’ + I said ‘oh so cuuuuuute’ or ‘okay love’ or I say ‘let’s do a practice run - you’ll never see these photos, don’t worry’. 🥹

The laughter, the little interactions + the little look to one another. Those unplanned — captured without knowing moments are the most authentic, pure moments during our time together — the YOU moments.

While I love capturing the beautiful, more posed interactions, there is just something about those little in between candid interactions. The ones you can look at and just feel. Those are the memories you’ll never want to forget.

As a mom to two sweet boys, I know exactly how quickly your baby goes from teeny tiny to looking like a full on toddler

To be able to capture and freeze these moments in time is so special

Because…

Your babies will never be as little as they are today. The little hands, the gummy smiles, the wobbly stand + the way they fit into your arms

These moments in time aren’t just for us, but for them to look back upon — memories we wish to hold onto + ones they get to experience through images later in life

As moms, we want to document everything but we also want to be fully present for all the little moments in between
