This is one of my jobs. 🤍
Some days, this job is harder than others.
Some days, balancing working full-time, owning a salon, raising three children, and running a photography business feels exhausting. There are days when my plate feels completely full, and finding the time and energy for everything feels nearly impossible.
But then, in the middle of all the busy moments, I get to see.
Not just see with my eyes, but truly see.
I get to see people.
I get to see families.
I get to see babies.
I get to see animals.
I get to see the little moments that might otherwise be overlooked.
I get to see people for something so much more than what the eyes can see.
And I think that is my favorite part of this job.
I get to work with people and make them feel safe, seen, loved, and beautiful. I get to capture the pieces of their lives that they may not realize are worth remembering until years down the road.
So yes, some days are harder than others. Some days I question how I can possibly fit one more thing onto my plate.
But I wouldn’t change it for the world.
Because photography isn’t just a job to me. It is a gift the Lord has given me, the ability to truly see people, to recognize the beauty in the ordinary, and to capture moments that sometimes can never be recreated.
And I am so incredibly grateful that I get to call this one of my jobs. 🤍📷
