There are some seniors who come through my lens… and then there are the ones who have quietly been part of your life long before the camera ever comes out.
Kendra is one of those.
Class of 2026, and somehow—somehow—we’re already here. 🎓
I didn’t know her from the very beginning, but it feels close. I met her as a tiny junior cat cheerleader on my daughter’s squad, and from that moment on, I had a front row seat to something really special.
I watched her grow up in real time. Not in perfect conditions, not in easy moments—but in the kind that shape who you become.
I saw her show up through relentless heat waves that felt unbearable, through wildfire smoke that blurred everything around us, through cold rain, whipping winds, sickness, injuries… and still, she showed up. Again and again.
Not for attention. Not for praise. Just because that’s who she is.
Steady. Strong. Quietly determined.
And somewhere in all those ordinary, messy, real-life moments… she became this incredible young woman standing in front of my camera now.
Kendra, it has been such a privilege to witness even a small part of your story. Getting to capture this chapter—the one where everything is about to open up for you—is something I’ll never take lightly.
To your Mom and Dad… you did such a beautiful job.
And Kendra—thank you for trusting me with something so important. I am so, so proud of you. 💛
