Autumn in the Backyard. It's wonderful to share a moment of art with the talented photographers of the Ohio Valley Photography Club at their fall show. The location is the Delph Norona Museum, Grave Creek Mound Archaeological Complex, in Moundsville, WV. The exhibit is up through the end of October.

I’m dropping off three pieces of artwork for an Ohio Valley Photography Club exhibit on display at Artwork Around Town in Wheeling, WV. The exhibit will be up through the end of August. The Opening Reception is on Friday, August 7th from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM.

I was asked to do a family photography portrait session this weekend. We had to travel to the shooting location by boat, a first for me. The session turned out well. This was the view on the boat ride back to shore.

Four of my flower photographs now hang in patient rooms at the area's newest hospital. Being admitted to a hospital room can be a scary experience. My hope is that these images offer a moment of color, beauty, and calm to this new healing space.

When my favorite meteorologist shared this Passion flower photograph on the morning news today, he described it as a piece of glass art you would see at the Bellagio. (Thanks, Jeff!) I know that this flower is only open for one day, so I don't want to miss it.

Dropping off a photograph at the Grave Creek Mound Archaeological Complex in Moundsville, WV. I photographed these shells on a beach in South Africa. The trip changed my life. To see the work of some skilled photographers, stop by the Grave Creek Mound through the end of June.

Last minute gift idea: This year, I'm making eight of my 4x6 inch print photographs available during the doldrum months of winter. (Photographs are different than the ones shown here.) Two of my photographs (Ruffled Feathers here) are on display with the photography of talented artists from the Ohio Valley Photography Club at their exhibit at the Wheeling Artisan Center, 1400 Main Street, Wheeling, WV. The opening reception is Tuesday evening, December 10, 2024, 6:00 PM-8:00 PM. The exhibit runs until January 7, 2025.
