I met the Jager family for the first time in October of 2020 and instantly fell in love. Collin and Kelci are one of the sweetest and most genuine couples I've met, and their boy gang tolerated me way more than I expected from a bunch of tweens and teens (thanks guys ;)). Only months after our session, Collin was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive type of leukemia.

Over the past year, this incredible family has been through literal hell and back. Collin has fought through endless hospital visits and chemo treatments, endured countless terrifying side effects and survived organ failure, undergone procedure after procedure... the list is endless. After completing his intense course of chemotherapy in 2021, his body was finally showing zero leukemia cells and they were seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Then only days into the new year, the leukemia returned. I can't fathom having to continue putting one foot in front of the other through the constant onslaught of bad news and life threatening challenges, ... yet somehow the Jagers remain strong, grateful, hopeful, and faithful.

Collin's medical team has confirmed that his only chance for survival is a successful bone marrow/stem cell transplant. If you feel so inclined to contribute to the Jager family's fight, please visit any of the resources provided below. I know they would be forever grateful.

It was such an honor to photograph this sweet family again. Kelci and Collin, it was so amazing to catch up with you! And shoutout to the boys for tolerating me, yet again... given I'm pretty confident I was holding up some sort of golf cart/fishing/swimming excursion. 😂

✨ Hey friends, I've got some pretty big/bittersweet news to share with y'all today. I'm going to take the rest of the year off (unless of course I've already committed to your session 😉). This has been a pretty difficult decision to make and I've avoided sharing publicly for a while, but it feels like it's time to take a little break.

🤰🏼I'm sure by now you all know I'm currently growing our third tiny human and let me tell you - growing a girl feels a heck of a lot harder than growing boys. 😱 I'm exhausted! So while the boys are at school, the laundry is put away, the dishes are done, and the house is tidy, I just want to sit.

☀️I want to read a book, to soak up the sun by the pool, to YouTube stretching videos for an hour so my body doesn't hurt as much as it did in previous pregnancies. You get the idea.

👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 This will also probably be a good time to go through and edit/print the thousands of photos I have of my own family that have died somewhere on my computer. I know I won't be able to put a camera down for a full year, so I'm looking forward to photographing my kids more and whatever brings me joy in the moment.

❤️ You guys have been the absolute best and will be the first to know when I'm ready to start taking clients again! I'll still be here and posting from here, you'll just be seeing a lot more personal stuff in the coming weeks than you're used to.

1 hour, 23 people (almost half of them in town for less than 24 hours!!), the foggiest day I've seen in my 30-something years in Florida, literally surrounded by thunderstorms. Y'all, I still can't believe we pulled this off!!!
