Finally caught this little guy on camera! Our white squirrels are so neat!

One of the cryptic white squirrels of the Big Funk Swamp Little Land Preserve perched on a power line near the edge of the property. These animals are extremely difficult to photograph well due to their reclusive bahavior, which is a response to their color making them an easy target for predators.

My husband does amazing nature photography!

The drought here in Northeast Florida is finally beginning to break! While this drought made things really tough on the spring flowers, the rain we're getting now has all the typical summer flowers opening up, even if they are a bit behind schedule.

To get post-drought ball rolling, here is a meadow beauty (Rhexia mariana) with a crab spider!
