Barefoot at home, bikes to the beach, salty hair, sunset skies, kids being kids, and absolutely zero pressure to make everything “perfect.”
Just a family living their little life together — laughing, riding, snuggling, chasing the light and soaking up the evening.

Big sis. Biggest brother.

A wild sunset.
And us dodging a full-on sorority function of college girls 😂

Basically… everything that could make a family session beautifully chaotic was there.
There were toddlers to chase, waves to dodge, wind blowing everyone’s hair in 47 different directions, and plenty of moments where I’m pretty sure the plan was just… survive. 😂

But then there were the giggles. The hand-holding. The snuggles. The kids running wild together. The kind of moments you can’t pose or manufacture.
And THAT is why I love family photography.
It doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful.

Sometimes the most beautiful photos come from the beautiful chaos. 🤍🌊✨

Story time 😂
We had a family of six—FOUR kids under six, including almost-two-year-old twin boys—book a sunset beach session.
We purposely picked a path that’s usually super secluded because… toddlers. 😂
We get everyone posed, I step back to shoot—and a group of college girls walks up behind us.
Okay, no big deal. We move over.
Then another group.
And another.
Finally I’m like, “What is happening?!”
Turns out… there was a HUGE sorority beach sunset function happening that night. 😂
So here we are trying to keep four kids engaged while 100+ college girls keep walking past us.
Honestly, it was chaotic, hilarious, and SO memorable.
Photographers: sometimes your “secluded” location is apparently the hottest spot on the beach. 😂

Okay… deep breath. Here we go. 🤍

The rest of 2026 is officially BOOKED. FULL. DONE. (BUT my amazing associate has a few sessions left joleephotographyteam )

And while I am incredibly grateful — like really, really grateful — I’m also realizing that this is the season where I have to be very intentional about where my time goes.

Because life is FULL right now.
I have a college kid.
A high school kid.
A 10-year-old who seems to have approximately 47 activities at all times. 😂
Sports. Practices. Games. Dance competitions. School. Carpool. Work. Photography. My new incredible postpartum doula job.
And somehow I’m supposed to remember where everyone needs to be and what time they need to be there. 🤣
So I’m making some changes.
I’m deleting TikTok.
I’m turning on my Brick phone. 📵
I’m getting my butt back in the garage gym.
I’m going to work hard when I’m working… and then actually be present when I’m not.
Because this is the part I keep reminding myself:
My kids aren’t going to be this age forever.
One is already in COLLEGE.
One is getting closer to that stage way too quickly.
And my baby is somehow not a baby anymore.
And I don’t want to look back and realize I was so busy documenting everyone else’s memories that I was too distracted to fully live my own.

That one hits me.

I love my business. I’m so proud of what I’ve built. I’m incredibly humbled that my calendar is full through the end of the year and that so many families trust me to photograph the people they love most.
But I also love being a mom.
And right now, I want both.
I want to work hard.
I want to take care of myself.
I want to grow.
I want to make money.
I want to create.
But I also want to be at the games. In the stands. In the carpool line. At the dance competitions. At home. For the random Tuesday nights that I know I’ll miss someday.
So… busy season, let’s do this.
Less scrolling.
Less noise.
Less comparison.
More work.
More workouts.
More family.
More showing up.
More actually being here.
Because this season is chaotic and exhausting and expensive and loud and completely wonderful…
…and I know someday I’m going to miss the hell out of it. 🤍
