Hello Hello! Thank you all for a wonderful end of summer horse show. I am happy to say that all photo gallery’s from the NFDA August Dressage Show are uploaded and organized by rider number!

Spending time around the warm up ring at a show is one of my favorite things to do as a candid photographer.

It’s moments in the warm up ring where the tension drops from a riders shoulders and their face and they can prepare themselves to slide into the performance aspect of the classes. To learn and grow coming out of a class, or about to go in one.

Warming up is more than working through the anxiousness of the new green horse or even the new green rider - it’s about communication. Communicating with your horse that you’re in this as a team and you’ve got their back - just as much as the horse is saying the same. It’s for remembering leads, diagonals, discovering places that need work, placing your heel in the right spot, remembering to breath, counting your strides and pattern, listening to your trainer or even just working out the pre show zoomies!

It’s good to remember that even if it is a HUGE horse show - that horses and the hobby of being an equestrian is supposed to be FUN!

So - have a good warm up, drink some water, tighten up your helmet strap or secure your hat! And never forget to love on your horse. Whether it’s your heart horse, your new green pony, your sale prospect, the horse your training or a lesson horse.

Right now you two are a team against the world.

Now - you know how to do this.
Believe in yourself and your team.
Buckle up.
Chin up.
And RIDE!

Just recently I had the absolutely amazing opportunity of being the official show photographer for the Sunshine Region Games Rally for the Sunshine Region Pony Club at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center!

I had a great time being introduced to this unique and fun disciple as both a photographer and a spectator ! Pony Club is an incredibly educational program everyone should look into from new riders to experienced ones!

When life gave us summer storms today these ladies taught us what it means to dance in the rain! 🐴🌧️📸

After my other ring ended early I had the chance to come by and grab some pictures just as the storm started up and I was so happy I did! These are some of the coolest pictures I think I have gotten so far !!

While I wasn’t able to capture more riders earlier in the day I did get a few after the storm - the gallery is being edited and will be posted within the next couple days. The rider numbers I DO have are listed below:
