BREAKING JAX FOOD NEWS 🚨

JAX just got a new gathering spot. 🍖🌮🍦

The BLOCK Jax is officially opening with a grand opening weekend on March 20–22 at 7520 Quarter Mill Drive off Gate Parkway — about a half mile north of IKEA on the Southside.

The 2.5-acre outdoor venue is bringing 8 local food vendors under one roof (well, the sky), including Chancho King, The Bearded Pig, Darkside Tacos, The Hungry Owl Asian Eatery, Southern Swells Brewing Co., Dairy Joy, Just Kitchen Pita Bar, and Slingin’ Wieners. Three bars, 20 craft beers on tap, a 21+ mezzanine level, and a 30-foot LED wall rounding it all out.

Free admission. Dogs on leash welcome. Kids’ play area on site. Live music daily.
JAX has been waiting for something like this. March 20 can’t come soon enough. 🐾🎶

The famous 75¢ Wing It wings are coming to Jax Beach TONIGHT and this is a big deal. For the first time ever, Wing It is popping up at Beachside Seafood bringing their legendary Tuesday wing deal outside of Mandarin. If you’ve never had Wing It, tonight is your sign.

BREAKING JAX FOOD NEWS 🚨

Sweetgreen is Coming to St. Johns Town Center! 🥗

Jacksonville, it’s official. Sweetgreen has confirmed it will be opening at St. Johns Town Center, taking over the space at 4624 Town Crossing Drive — the former Noodles & Co. location.

The nationally recognized salad and grain bowl chain currently has 301 locations across 26 states and Washington D.C., with 13 locations already in Florida — mostly in South Florida and Tampa. Jacksonville is about to join that list.

What can you expect on the menu? Think miso glazed salmon bowls with avocado, pickled onions and spicy cashew, or the fan-favorite Shroomami bowl with roasted tofu, warm portobello mix, wild rice and organic kale. Fresh, fast, and built to order right in front of you.
A Sweetgreen spokesperson confirmed more details will be shared in the coming months. No opening date has been set just yet — but it’s happening, Jax.

A longtime Riverside poke location is getting a fresh island makeover 🔥

After nearly a decade in the neighborhood, the space at 1661 Riverside Ave is transitioning into Makai Poke & Musubi — bringing a new concept, a revamped menu, more variety, and traditional Hawaiian-style poke the way it’s eaten in Hawaii.

Expect multiple styles of ahi tuna and salmon, spam musubi, and more island favorites.

Hilite Coffee by & is now open in San Marco. After two years of pop ups, they officially have their own brick and mortar and yes, it lives up to the hype.

Mismatched chairs, thoughtful interiors, specialty coffee, and matcha that actually tastes good. This is about to be a go to for coffee lovers. Do yourself a favor and try the Miso Caramel Latte.

🔥 just opened a second food truck spot in Murray Hill behind Catbird Coffee (weekends for lunch + dinner).
