* A multiple-time Emmys / Television Academy Emmy-nominated sports broadcaster.

* The Sports Director for First Coast News WTLV/First Coast News in Jacksonville.

* A graduate of Fort Valley State University .

* Known for covering the Jacksonville Jaguars Jacksonville Jaguars, high school football, college athletics, and other North Florida sports.

* Active in the Jacksonville community through volunteer work and organizations such as the National Association of Black Journalists.

Who is Chris Porter personally:

I’ve had the privilege of knowing Chris personally, and what has always stood out to me is his character. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he’s a man of integrity, humility, and genuine compassion. He leads by example, treats people with respect, and consistently uses his platform to uplift others. The impact he has on Jacksonville extends far beyond sports—it’s found in the relationships he’s built, the lives he’s encouraged, and the authenticity he brings to everything he does. Chris is the kind of leader whose influence is measured not only by what he achieves, but by the way he inspires those around him.
