🏆 WE DID IT! Best of Florida 2026! 🏆

I’m incredibly honored—and honestly a little overwhelmed—to share that Carolennys Studios has been named a 2026 Best of Florida winner by Guide to Florida for Maternity & Newborn Photography! 🤍✨

And this one feels extra special because this is our SECOND YEAR IN A ROW being recognized. 🥹

Awards are exciting, but what makes this one truly meaningful is knowing that behind this recognition are real families who trusted me with some of the most important moments of their lives.

The growing bellies.
The tiny newborn fingers.
The first family portraits.
The milestones.
The sleepless-but-beautiful newborn days.
The laughter, the chaos, and all the love in between.

Every time you step in front of my camera, you're trusting me to preserve a little piece of your story—and that is something I will never take for granted.

To every client who has booked with me, returned year after year, referred a friend, shared your images, left a review, voted, encouraged me, or simply followed along and supported this little business...

THANK YOU. 🤍

Carolennys Studios exists because of you.

This recognition is a beautiful reminder that the work we pour our hearts into is reaching the families we're meant to serve.

And being recognized two years in a row? That's something I'm incredibly proud of. ✨

Here's to continuing to create beautiful art, meaningful experiences, and photographs that become part of your family's legacy.

Thank you for letting me be part of your story. 🥂🤍

With so much gratitude,
Carolennys Studios

**Christmas magic doesn't happen overnight. 🎄✨**

While most of you are still enjoying summer, I've been quietly working behind the scenes on something very special.

Mood boards.

Color palettes.

Fabric samples.

Props.

Florals.

Textures.

Paint.

And more trips to the store than I'd like to admit. 😂

There is something so satisfying about watching an idea that existed only in my head slowly become a real space.

And honestly?

The messy middle is one of my favorite parts.

Because before the pretty photographs, there are boxes everywhere.

Things that don't work.

Things that need to be moved.

Colors that need to be changed.

A prop that looked *perfect* online and absolutely does not work in person. 😂

It's all part of the creative process.

Every detail has a purpose.

Every set is designed to create a feeling—not just a pretty background.

And after months of planning, I'm getting closer and closer to being able to welcome your families into these spaces.

I can't wait for you to see what I've been creating. 🤍

For now, I'll give you just a little peek...

**Can you guess which Christmas set this is becoming?** 👀🎄

**Somewhere between summer and fall, you realize just how much they've changed. 🤍**

The shoes are suddenly too small.

The clothes that fit perfectly a few months ago are already getting tight.

Their little voice sounds a little different.

They're a little more independent.

A little taller.

A little less "baby."

And somehow, it all happened while you were busy living it.

That's the strange thing about childhood.

We don't usually notice the changes happening day by day.

We notice them when we look back.

That's why I love photographs so much.

They give us a reason to pause.

To remember the little details.

To see how much they've grown.

To preserve the version of them that only existed for a moment.

As we head into a new season, it's a beautiful reminder that **you don't have to wait for a milestone to document your family.**

Sometimes the season itself is enough.

The messy hair.

The missing teeth.

The favorite stuffed animal.

The way they still reach for your hand.

The little personality that is uniquely theirs right now.

Because this version of your family won't exist forever.

And that's exactly what makes it worth remembering. 🤍

What has changed the most about your little one since the beginning of summer? Tell me below. 👇

✨ Transformation Tuesday: The Art of Posing Naturally

What if I told you that natural-looking photographs are often anything but accidental? 🤍

The goal isn't to put you into a pose and say, "Okay… hold that!" 😂

It's about making tiny adjustments that create the feeling of a moment happening naturally.

A slight shift in your shoulders.

Moving your hand just a little.

Turning your body toward the person you love.

Relaxing your fingers.

Changing where you're looking.

Taking one small step closer.

Sometimes, the difference between a photograph that feels stiff and one that feels effortless is only an inch or two.

But those little adjustments can completely change the way connection shows up in an image.

When I'm photographing you, I'm constantly watching for those details—while also paying attention to your expressions, body language, the light, and what's happening naturally between you.

And I don't expect you to know what to do.

That's my job.

I'll guide you through the pose, give you direction when you need it, and then give you space to interact with your family so the photograph starts to feel less like a pose and more like you.

Because the goal isn't to make you look like a model.

It's to make you look comfortable, connected, confident, and completely yourself. ✨

And sometimes the best image happens in the tiny moment right after I give you direction—when you forget I'm even holding a camera.

That's where the magic lives. 🤍

Would you be surprised by how much direction goes into creating a "candid" looking photograph?

Tell me below: are you a "tell me exactly what to do" person or a "just let me do my thing" person? 😂👇

Five reasons your kids might actually LOVE coming to the studio… 👀🤍

Let's be honest—when you tell your kids you're going to take pictures, you're not always met with excitement. 😂

But once they get here, something usually changes.

✨ 1. They get to PLAY.
We're not expecting little ones to sit perfectly still for an hour. We move, play, explore, laugh, and let them be themselves.

✨ 2. They get ALL the attention.
Silly faces, funny noises, songs, games… whatever it takes to get those genuine smiles. Yes, I've been known to make some questionable animal sounds. 😂

✨ 3. They get to be creative.
Beautiful sets aren't just for adults. Kids love discovering new textures, props, colors, and little details throughout the studio.

✨ 4. There are breaks.
Need a snack? A cuddle? A reset? No problem. We don't rush childhood—and we definitely don't rush a child who needs a moment.

✨ 5. They don't have to be "perfect."
This might be the most important one.

They can wiggle.

They can laugh.

They can make silly faces.

They can be shy.

They can run straight into Mom's arms.

Some of my favorite photographs happen in the moments when children stop trying to "behave" for the camera and simply become themselves.

Because that's who I want to photograph.

Your child—not a perfectly posed version of them. 🤍

And maybe the biggest secret?

When kids have fun, parents relax too.

And when everyone relaxes… that's when the magic happens. ✨

So if you've been putting off family photos because you're thinking, "My kids are NEVER going to cooperate," consider this your sign to come anyway. 😉

What's your child's favorite part of a photo session—or what do you think they'd love most? 👇

**Why do skin tones matter? 🤎✨**

When you're creating an image as artistic as this one, there's a lot happening beyond what you see at first glance.

The flowing fabric.
The dramatic lighting.
The digital composite background.
The rich, warm tones.
The movement and emotion.

But underneath all of that, there is one thing I never want to lose: **you.**

My editing philosophy has always been rooted in creating images that feel beautiful **without sacrificing what makes you look like yourself.**

Trendy filters come and go.

Editing styles change.

Color trends have their moment.

But your skin tone shouldn't have to follow a trend.

When I edit, I'm paying close attention to skin—how it responds to the light, the warmth of the environment, subtle shifts in color, and how it interacts with everything surrounding you.

The goal isn't to make your skin look artificially flawless or overly filtered.

It's to create **natural, dimensional, timeless skin tones** that still feel like *you* years from now.

And when we're creating something more artistic—like this maternity portrait, where the background itself is a digital composite—I love finding that balance between **fantasy and authenticity.**

We can create an image that feels like it belongs in another world...

while still making sure the woman at the center of it looks beautifully, authentically herself.

Because your maternity portraits should age beautifully with you.

Ten years from now, I don't want you to look at your photographs and think, *"That was the editing style everyone was using back then."*

I want you to think:

**"Wow. I was beautiful."** 🤍

That's timeless editing.

That's the difference between following a trend and creating artwork.

What do you value most in a portrait—**natural skin tones, dramatic artistry, or a little bit of both?** Tell me below. 👇

**Behind the Lens: Helping the Camera-Shy Peeps Feel at Home 🤍**

Let's be honest... not everyone walks into a photography studio thinking, *"I can't wait to have my picture taken!"* 😂

And that's okay.

Some of the best family photographs happen when you stop feeling like you're being photographed.

That's a big part of my job.

I don't expect you to arrive knowing how to pose, where to stand, or what to do with your hands. And I definitely don't expect Dad to suddenly become a professional model. 😉

Instead, I spend a little time building rapport—talking, joking, getting to know you, and helping you forget that I'm a stranger standing there with a camera.

Then I guide you.

A lot.

I'll tell you where to stand, how to position your hands, where to look, when to move, and when to simply forget the camera and interact with your family.

And if you're still not convinced... I'll turn the camera around.

Seeing those first few beautiful images on the back of the camera can be a total game changer. Suddenly you realize, *"Wait... we actually look really good!"* 😍

That little boost of confidence changes everything.

Before long, the stiff poses disappear, the shoulders relax, the genuine smiles come out, and you stop thinking about the camera altogether.

Because my goal isn't to make you *look* comfortable.

It's to help you actually **feel** comfortable.

The best family portraits aren't created by forcing everyone into perfect poses.

They're created when you feel connected, relaxed, and completely present with the people you love.

So if someone in your family is already telling you, *"I hate pictures,"* before you've even booked...

Don't worry. I've got you. 🤍

**Camera-shy husbands, dads, teenagers, grandparents... I've worked with them all!**

Tell me—who's the most camera-shy person in your family? 😂👇

✨ **Throwback Thursday: A Walk Through Christmas Past** 🎄

Before we introduce this year's Christmas magic, let's take a little trip down memory lane...

From the very first set to all the beautiful families who have returned year after year, these images represent so much more than Christmas Minis to me.

They represent traditions.

Growing families.

Tiny babies who are suddenly toddlers.

Toddlers who are now big kids.

Siblings growing up together.

And families who have trusted me to capture another chapter of their story each Christmas. 🤍

Being invited to become even a small part of your family's holiday traditions is an honor I don't take lightly.

One of my favorite parts of this journey isn't just creating beautiful sets each year—it's witnessing **YOU** grow.

I get to see your babies become big kids. I get to meet new additions to your families. I get to watch personalities emerge, siblings become best friends, and traditions continue from one year to the next.

And every December, when you walk back through my studio doors, it's like catching up with old friends.

That's the magic of this little business of mine.

The sets may change.

The trends may change.

The years may pass.

But the memories we're creating together become part of your family's story. ✨

To every family who has trusted me with your Christmas memories over the years: **thank you.** Thank you for coming back, for referring your friends and family, for sharing your images, and for allowing me to be part of something so meaningful.

Now it's time to begin the next chapter. 🎄
