Things I’ve done as a wedding photographer that definitely weren’t listed in the job description… 😂🤍
• Been the hype woman, the problem solver, the timeline keeper, and occasionally the therapist - all before the ceremony even starts.
• Created wedding day timelines that everyone else, from the bridal party to the other vendors, relies on to keep the day running smoothly.
• Coordinated with and directed other day of vendors to help keep everything on schedule and make sure all the moving pieces come together.
• Fixed veils, fluffed dresses, touched up makeup, wiped away tears, and reminded my brides how absolutely STUNNING they look.
• Carried dresses, held bouquets, pinned boutonnieres, and somehow always ended up with about 17 things in my hands at once. 😂
• Taught groomsmen how to pose, where to put their hands, and that no, we are NOT doing the awkward prom pose right now. 😅
• Reminded approximately 847 people to take their hats and/or sunglasses off for photos. Y’all, I am BEGGING you to let me see those eyeballs!
• Turned into a professional people herder during family photos because there is ALWAYS someone missing when we need them.
• Helped fix last minute problems, calmed nerves, adjusted timelines, and figured out a plan when things didn’t go quite as expected.
• Made sure my brides felt beautiful, confident, and taken care of, even when the day felt a little chaotic behind the scenes.
• Celebrated the little moments, reassured the nervous ones, and probably said “Okay, you guys look SO GOOD!” approximately 500 times throughout the day. 🥹
And honestly I wouldn’t have it any other way. 🤍
Because the truth is, **we’re SO much more than just photographers.** We're often the ones creating the timelines everyone else follows, keeping vendors on track, coordinating moving pieces, managing family photos, solving problems on the fly, and making sure the day keeps moving when things don't go according to plan.
We spend hours preparing before the wedding day even arrives, and when the big day comes, we're capturing your memories while simultaneously making sure so many other things happen behind the scenes. And we do it all while trying to make it look effortless. 😂
So yes, you’re getting your photographer… but you’re also getting a hype woman, a timeline creator, a vendor coordinator, a dress fixer, a people herder, a problem solver, and whatever else the day needs me to be. 🤣🤍
Because your wedding day matters to me, and I want you to be able to look back on it knowing you were taken care of, loved on, and able to enjoy the moments that mattered most.
To all my SGP couples, thank you for trusting me with such an important chapter of your lives. I’ll never take that lightly. 🥹🫶🏼
