My most recent session was extra special. 📷️ 🌿

This one was for my sister.

She recently started law school and needed updated headshots to match the incredible season she is stepping into. And honestly? Getting to be the one behind the camera for this felt like such a gift.

If you know my sister you already know how hard she works and how much she deserves every single thing coming her way. Watching her chase this dream has been one of my favorite things and I am so proud of her.

This is exactly why I do what I do. Not just for the big weddings or the milestone sessions but for the moments like this one. The quiet in between moments where someone is stepping into a whole new version of themselves and they need someone to capture it.

There's something so special about capturing family right before everything changes. 🤍

I had the absolute joy of photographing my sister-in-law as she prepares to welcome baby number four, and let me tell you, this session was pure fun. So much love, so many sweet moments, and so much anticipation for the little one joining this beautiful family soon.

Maternity sessions hold a tender kind of magic. They freeze that in-between season, the waiting, the hoping, the dreaming, and let you hold onto it forever.

Let me tell you why it's called Joyfully Rooted. 🌱

When I was dreaming up this brand, I kept coming back to one verse -- the one about faith as small as a mustard seed. Because that's exactly how this started. Not with a big plan or any certainty it would work, just a small seed of maybe I can do this and a whole lot of trust.

"Joyfully" is the posture -- choosing joy in the work, in the slow days, in the building. "Rooted" is the foundation -- staying grounded in my faith no matter how things grow. Every set of nails, every session I photograph, every little piece of this comes back to that.
