The final pieces of the puzzle! After picking up the broken tines, we worked down to where this bull was lodged in the draw. Sure enough, the tines all matched up and the rest of his bones were scattered around. We thought maybe a mountain lion or wolves chased him off the cliff🤷‍♂️

What are the odds of this? Saxton first spotted broken tines laying on the hillside and when we got to them, we realized the rest of the bull was laying another 100 yards down. Our guess was that he got chased off the cliff and then rolled the rest of the way into the draw. There was a well worn game trail right on the top of the cliff too.

Mother Nature threw pretty much everything it had at us this weekend. Strong winds, steep terrain, and a late snowstorm made for less than ideal conditions. But Saxton and I made the most of it, snagging a few sweet antlers and plenty of photos too. Will be posting a YouTube video from this trip soon. Stay tuned!

Well here they are folks, my biggest Shiras paddles to date! I couldn’t be more grateful to stumble onto these after a mentally and physically draining weekend. Many of you know my buddy Kole who passed away over the weekend. I spent 3 days reliving conversations we’ve had and I honestly think he was the only reason I found these. I’ve never found a bull near this caliber and this just happens to be the weekend I finally do it. Call it luck, faith, or coincidence, but I know for a fact he would’ve been one of the first people congratulating me on this find. He was truly selfless and gone too soon. I’ll miss you buddy.
