Hi, I’m Jenae 👋
I realized it’s been a while since I’ve properly introduced myself around here, and there are quite a few new faces, so welcome!
A few fun facts:
🇨🇦 I grew up in Canada.
📸 I learned photography on film and even developed my own film in a darkroom. One of these days I’ll have to dig out my very first photographs because they’re equal parts nostalgic and embarrassing.
🤎 I’ve always been obsessed with the feeling film gives you. Long before it became trendy again, I was chasing that nostalgic, candid, imperfectly perfect look that reminds you how a moment felt, not just how it looked.
😂 I was also cropping people’s heads out of photos before it was cool. Close ups of hands, details, backs of heads, tiny moments. Back then people would ask, “Why is my head cut off?”
The answer?
✨ Art. It was for the art. ✨
I’ve been photographing families, couples, seniors, and all of life’s beautiful chaos for 12 years now, and somehow I still get excited every time I pick up my camera.
Beyond photography, I’m a mom of two boys, a coffee enthusiast, a mountain lover, a gym goer, and someone who cries at sentimental things way more than I’d like to admit.
