Mountain Hardwear S26 Alpine || A weekend in the Sierra.

Stoked to share some of my favorite frames from last summer’s alpine mission over the next few days. There’s no greater joy than working in these environments alongside your best friends.

Shot for Mountain Hardwear with Jennifer Poe and Taylor Shaffer crushing it in front of the camera, and Walter Chiarella making it all happen behind the scenes.
Big thanks to anya_miller for the creative vision and for bringing this project to life 🙌🏼

Some words and images from an all-time trip with the best people.

Yellow Shutters || The sun is setting over the valley as Marlo tumbles in the grass and flowers. A few more have popped up in the weeks since we arrived. The clouds, and the sky, and the mountains are pink- a few shades lighter than the wine being passed around. The bottle has a cartoon drawing of a blue man balancing a glass of wine on his foot. Focaccia, olive oil, and spritzes sit on the table. The flowers in the neighboring garden soak up the last of the day’s light, showing off their best colors and adding to the evening’s warmth.

It’s wild to think a chance run-in a few years ago, outside the bakery just up valley- a nervous hello, and a rushed goodbye- is now dinner with your best friends, who are now also mine, at a small restaurant on the hill. Instead of running out of things to say, it’s a slightly tipsy walk home down steep streets together, a half-empty bottle of wine in hand, planning tomorrow.

It’s chasing you around on skis, buying too many pastries, walking through Chamonix when it’s rainy- filling a day and a place that once felt lonely.

It’s a last-minute trip to Italy to ride bikes, eat fresh pasta, drink late-night Negronis, and try your favorite tiramisu. Revisiting places and memories you’ve talked about with the brightest eyes, letting me experience them all the same.
