Happy National Photography Day 📸✨

On this day, in 1939, the French government bought the patent for the Daguerreotype and gave it free to the world!

Daguerreotype is a photographic process that does not use negative, it uses a direct-positive printed on a polished metal plate. It shortened the processing time from hours to 15 to 30 minutes and made it more practical and commercially successful! Daguerreotype is considered "a mirror with a memory."

So let's celebrate this day with something special!! 🥂🎉

I am offering 6 pay what you can 10 minute sessions this Sunday in the Sunflower Field located in Jackson.

What does this mean?

It will be $15 to secure a time slot, then the day of, you pay what you can, whether it is another $1 or another $40, it's up to you.

You must be following Amanda Riker Photography, one session per couple, family, single, etc and first come first serve.

There’s no feeling quite like standing in a forest of gold that you planted with your own hands, capturing moments that will outlast the season✨🌻📸

Hi, Everyone, so many new faces this year and so excited you're here🫶 I am Amanda, the face behind it all. I have spent years going with the flow of life, but this past year, I have taken the reins and paved a path I am so excited to walk. Growing my business and turning my passions and dreams into reality.

I absolutely love capturing moments, whether it is in my own life or in all of yours! I received my first digital camera when I was about 11 years old and from there it was game over. My very first "Session," was my brother's senior pictures, almost 20 years ago.

Being able to capture the love, joy and special moments, while creating something people are excited to look at and have forever, is one of the reasons I love photography. I love capturing the beauty that others don't see or just look right past. I love making people feel beautiful in front of my lens. I love sharing my view to the world.

Besides photography, I am fulfilling another passion and dream of mine, finishing my final year in Nursing School 🩺 While also being the mother I always dreamed about. 🩷 Life is busy, but I am enjoying every minute of it.

I am currently in my annual sunflower phase and can you believe I have never had a branding session in all my fields? 🌻 This was my year, and it can be yours as well! I am currently booking Sunflower minis, message me to grab your spot!
