Juneteenth. Freedom Day. ❤️🖤💚

Today is a day of celebration, reflection, and gratitude.

Juneteenth reminds us that freedom is precious and that every generation has benefited from the sacrifices of those who came before us. It honors the strength, resilience, and determination of people who never stopped believing that freedom, dignity, and equality were worth fighting for.

As black women, we carry a deep sense of pride for our history, our culture, and the countless contributions Black people have made and continue to make every day. We celebrate our creativity, our faith, our joy, our families, and our ability to keep moving forward, even in the face of adversity.

At the same time, Juneteenth is a reminder that freedom isn’t something we can take for granted. In a world where rights and opportunities can feel uncertain, it’s important to remember that progress has always been made by people who were willing to stand up, speak out, and keep pushing forward.

Today, we honor those who fought for freedoms many of us enjoy today, and those who continue that work in their own communities, workplaces, and homes.

May we celebrate how far we’ve come, remain mindful of the work still ahead, and never lose sight of the power of hope, unity, and perseverance.
