An adventurous engagement session in Laurel Hill State Park 🌲🥾🎣

I loved this engagement session so much! Hannah + Tanner picked out the location they got engaged for their photos. A hike to the dam with their pup on a perfect September evening.

Sunrise adventure session in Grand Teton National Park 🌄

I met up with Camille + Casey in the Tetons for an adventure session after they officially got married back in their home state of Florida. We watched the sunrise over the mountains and adventured to a few locations for stunning golden hour portraits. Thanks for running around in the Tetons with me – what an epic way to celebrate a new chapter!

Part 2 of Madison + Elliott’s adventurous all-day Moab elopement 🐴🌵

Madison + Elliott spent the afternoon horseback riding near Castle Valley, just outside Moab, Utah. Then they shared vows and had an intimate ceremony in front of the red rock buttes. Finally, as the sun started to set, they popped a bottle of ch*****ne and took in the gorgeous desert views. The day was peaceful, adventurous, and so fun!

Part 1 of Madison + Elliott’s adventurous all-day Moab elopement 🏜️

Madison + Elliott eloped in the desert just outside Moab, Utah. They started their all-day adventure with getting ready and sharing a sweet first look in front of their jeep. Then we hiked to the most insanely cool arch - like their own personal window on a perfect blue-sky day.

They chose early November for their elopement and they picked the ideal time! April and November are the best months for exploring in Moab - not too hot or cold, and less busy than other times of year (so you can have a comfortable and peaceful celebration). Safe to say I’m back on my film kick and I think it’s here to stay.

I traveled to Italy for the first time this month and it is a lovely country. The art and architecture is truly amazing and the countryside is beautiful.

Sara + Richard came out to Yosemite for an adventure session! We hiked to the edge of the world for sunset, before continuing on our adventure to gaze up at the stars over Half Dome 🌌 💫 Sunset at one of the most beautiful views followed by stargazing close to the new moon? Yes please.

A few tips for planning your own stargazing adventure in Yosemite:

✨ Bring light sources for hiking in the dark. Headlamps will help light your path after the sun sets, and lanterns can make for some really cool photos. (I will usually always have both - but, if you have your own headlamps bring them!)

✨ Pack some warm layers. Make sure to bring a jacket, because the temperature in Yosemite drops after the sun goes down (even on warm days).

✨ Choose a date during a new moon. The darker the sky, the brighter the stars – so pay attention to the moon phase! Nights right around the new moon are the best time to capture photos of the stars.

Vows 💍 can be such an important part of a wedding or elopement day if you want them to be! When you get to share with your partner all the things you love most about them and to make that commitment. When most people think of vows, they think of the “I do” or them being spoken at the formal ceremony. But there are different ways you can approach your vows on your day.
