Kelsey and Nate incorporated a bit of Nate’s Jewish traditions in their ceremony and in the end their rabbi had said
”traditionally Nate would be breaking the glass by himself but Kelsey also said when planning why does he get to have all the fun?”

I love that their first official thing they did as a couple together was break the glass, a modern twist on a beautiful tradition!

Loft Lucia is one of my favorite hidden gem venues in Chicago, yes I know it’s pretty well known but I love that you truly have to be looking for it to find it. Set above my favorite restaurant you have a gorgeous balcony and stunning brick venue space . Romantic, elegant and a little secret for your family and friends to dance in all night long.

Some of my favorite portraits and details from Haley and Mikes weddings at The Dalcy.

There’s something so special about documenting a wedding day at The Dalcy, the candlelight, the architecture, the way every space feels both elevated and intimate all at once.

But beyond the beautiful details and thoughtfully designed moments, it’s the quiet in between ones I feel most grateful to capture.

I never take for granted that couples trust me to preserve these moments exactly as they are felt honest, emotional, and fleeting in the best way. Feeling endlessly lucky to witness and document days like this. ✨

Love at first slice for Kelly’s bridal shower!

Where they first met, had their engagement session and now Kelly’s bridal shower 70 days before she and Ronnie get married!

Filled with touches of red and pizza goodies all over the place, a dessert table made by her aunts (homemade btw), photos of her and Ronnie everywhere! Every single detail was so thoughtfully curated her Maid of Honor Kaitlyn really did an incredible job!

Only 65 days to go! Cheers to the Nehrkes! 🥂🪩✨

The answer is always yes to late night cocktails at your wedding 🥂

I’m always a big fan of sunset portraits or even latenight flash portraits, the couple gets to step away from their wedding and just get a few minutes to themselves before dancing the night away with their friends and family! Think of it as a little recharge for the couple!

Haven’t said hi in a bit so hello beautiful people 👋🏻

I’ve already started my season with serving 4 incredible couples so far in 2026! From January winter weddings to March in Mexico it has truly been such an incredible year thus far!

Not only diving into all the business things which tbh I could yap too much about! I’m just excited to keep learning and growing… because if you’re not trying to be better after every wedding/session what are ya doing?!

Also my goal of 34 books this year is slowly getting met, I’ve read 11 books and I have to say I’m so late to the ACOTAR world but just finished A Court of Mist and Fury and OH MY GOODNESS, yall why did younger me wait this long to read it?!

Anyone else have a reading goal this year? What are you reading?

One of my favorite moments from second shooting last season just before walking down the aisle, Jessica’s dad quietly took a moment to perfect her veil. It lasted only seconds, but it was truly the sweetest moment.

These are the moments I’m always chasing the in-between, often unseen gestures that carry so much meaning. They happen quickly and without warning, which is why having a thoughtful, experienced team alongside me matters so much. When I can’t be everywhere at once, my second (and sometimes third) photographers ensure nothing is missed.

Also why I love second shooting, I get to help other photographers capture these beautiful inbetween moments for their clients.
