A back injury in January put me out of commission for much painting for a couple of months. I’m so happy to be back on track and here are two I’m working to finish. When one is wet, I work on the other.

I grew these beautiful tulips specifically for creating reference photos for my paintings. It nearly killed me to actually pick them out of the garden yesterday. Apparently, I'm a "flowers belong in the garden" kind of gardener. LOLOL

While vacationing, my good pal Holly Hauser reminded me how relaxing it is to play with watercolor paints. The trick is to clear my mind and go with the flow (intentional pun).

Spring is in the air, and I'm starting to collect seeds and plants for my garden. I scored on a few pots of HomeDepot poppies tucked into a hidden corner!!!!! They make awesome subjects for paintings!

I'm excited that four of my paintings were accepted in the 2026 Small Works Art Show at the Gallery North in Edmonds, Wa. If you're in the area, Edmonds is a popular artistic community and well worth a visit. The show is in March and I'll be posting dates and times soon.

I reluctantly picked these anemones and brought them inside to be photographed. I love painting anemones, and this is the first year I grew my own for my reference photo collection.
