To bring back to life this old, faded, stained, and torn photo, I removed the many small stains, reconstructed the missing areas, darkened, increased the contrast, and sharpened it.

This little girl looks so confident. I love her attitude. The original image was very small, faded, blurry, and the colors were distorted. I enlarged, sharpened, darkened, and brought back the colors.

I often get asked what my favorite part of photo restoration is, and the answer is simple: it’s the ability to hand someone a memory they thought was lost, or one they didn't know was possible to make.
This portrait of a grandfather and his grandson started as two entirely different snapshots. Bringing them together required a lot of careful work—scaling the images, balancing out the skin tones, removing small distractions like the baby’s shirt stains, and gently opening the grandfather's eyes so his genuine joy shined through.
AI is wonderful, but it is just a tool. But the real heart of it is the human connection. Knowing that I can use my skills to bring a smile to someone’s face and give them a permanent reminder of the people they love most is the greatest gift I could ask for. It truly makes me so happy to do this work.
I bring an old photo back to life or create a portrait out of snapshots using all my knowledge of Photoshop and other software, the skills I acquired through the years, and yes, I do use AI. But I keep in mind that AI is just a tool that helps me restore certain areas, but I will never allow a tool without a soul to replace the work I do.t

I attended the Planet Ice exhibition opening at the John Heinz History Center, and I met Andrew E. Masich, PhD, President & CEO of the Museum. When I mentioned that I restore old photos, he asked me to send him my information. Today I received an email from Brian Butko, the Museum’s Director of Publications. He wrote the following in his email: “Your work on your website is impressive. If we ever have a difficult job or a bulk need, I will be in touch”

I sharpened and lightened this photo of my favorite Aunt (my Mom’s younger sister) holding my youngest nephew, which was very blurry and dark.

This photo is of another one of my ancestors. He was born in 1817, died in 1862, and was my Maternal Grandmother’s Grandfather. To restore the photo taken around 1840, I removed the stains, reconstructed missing areas of the screen, brought back faded details, and sharpened it.

This lady was my great-great-grandmother. Don’t know much about her, but I have this postcard that she sent to my grandmother and her sister in early 1900. I restored this photo by bringing in detail that was faded, making her eyes more natural by removing the black mark that someone drew in her pupils. Since I don’t know who the child that is standing next to her was, I removed it.
