OK... This is the last post from The Idaho Fall Retreat. I had the pleasure of creating images while showing where to find natural light. Also... at times, I shared how to add OCF (flash) to assist. These are more of my favorite images from the weekend.

If you get a chance to go play with fellow creatives, DO IT! It is a growing experience that you can't get online.

So... I was part of something special a few weeks ago. The Professional Photographers of Idaho held their Fall retreat at the Western Pleasure Guest Ranch in Sandpoint, Idaho. It was magical! It was a time to share what I do as well as a time for us all to just play. Here are a few action images from the few days we had together. I'll post portraits later.

Had a great time with MJ and the crew... on two different days thanks to RAIN. I am a believer in everyone capturing moments of their kids as much as possible, but there are times when memories should be created by a professional. Your senior portraits are a time capsule of who you are and what you are up to during your senior year. Artistically embrace that time!
There are many picture takers out there folks... but please, seek out someone who does more than what you can do yourself. Seek out someone who gives a great experience, someone who makes your senior feel empowered. I hope I do that for folks.

The "Bark in the Park" was a success!! Many folks asked about the lighting: This was to be a novelty capture. To show the iconic windmill along with the dogs. The windmill is VERY BIG and out in the open sun. The location we worked in was landscaped and a great place for scenery, but had shad in the morning, spotted sun mid day, and full sun at the end of the event. We needed to average for small dogs, large dogs, old, young, light color, dark dogs... this was NOT a custom session. That said... knowing how to balance light and the availability of gear from the Molight Store - MJM Global Enterprises Inc. We made it happen. Did doing it as a Pro make a difference? You be the judge. Here are a few images as the day progressed. There were times I was too fast on the trigger and the light had not recharged. This is a good way for everyone to see what the photo was like with and without professional lighting. Thank goodness dogs don't get squinty eyes like humans and we were able to make something nice for everyone. 109 dogs in all! , , ,
