Today, my business is finally legal! 🥂
21 years ago, I became a business owner. For the past decade+ this business has supported me, my family, my mission work in Africa, my food, clothing, shelter and literally everything else!!

For, 21 years I have had the incredible experience of documenting life's most special moments for many wonderful people. Being trusted with these moments is something I will never take for granted.

The statistics are about 1 in 5 businesses make it to 20 years, making 21 years a milestone some small businesses never even reach. This isn't because of me, it's because of the people that kept showing up for me again and again. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. I'm still here... it's been hard, I wanted to give up, I've cried more than anyone can imagine. I've had hard days/months sometimes years but I have made it another year and I for one am so grateful.

So, how do you plan for family sessions? I draw ✍️ our outfits out by color. Well, first i call hair and makeup. 💄 🤣 Sometimes it’s best to pick one fav outfit and go from there, but you should always pick colors that are going to hang well in your home. This time i picked Maggie’s romper and my shirt first and went from there. Also, remember that i’m always willing to help guide you. Honestly, clothing is very important in pictures and can be very overwhelming getting a large group dressed. ❣️

Pro Tip: Remember, the true purpose of portraits are to print out and hang. So, always use colors that match your interior decor.

Dothan Nurseries is literally my favorite place to be. It's more than a store it's an experience. I knew how cool they were but the kindness they showed me and the girls when we asked if we could use the nursery for pictures is unforgettable. If, you haven't gone, GO! If you don't follow them on socials, do it immediately.
10/10 recommend! And... YES, we left with plants.

This is my daughter so I did tons of different edits just playing around. I love some of these old film vibes and the traditional color is beautiful, too. Help me pick what we want to print!! These are probably my favs but I'll do one more look through and may post some others but I got to finish my Jack baby up first.
