ge. About the Photographer:

Dan Ceresia is a photographer with over 10yrs of experience. Originally from New York he has lived and traveled all over the US. From the Navajo Reservation in Arizona to Northern Florida he has meet and assimilated in many different cultures. His love for meeting different people and cultures is one of the perpetuating forces driving his passion for portraiture photography and the desire to journalize it. Dan Ceresia holds an associates degree in Business from Hudson Valley C.C., Troy NY, as well as two bachelors Degrees, one in Theatre Arts and the second in Communications with primary interest in Non-Verbal studies. "My goal is to journalize those moments when people stop displaying themselves to the camera... this is when their subconscious reactions and impulses slip out.

Alright all, I am gearing up for a photo shoot and I have a need for models. I would like to hold a initial meeting with all individuals together to take everyone's measurements and to get people's skin types for the makeup session. If interested please let me know by May 31st and we will arrange a schedule for the first production meeting. Can't wait to hear from you all!!!

Today is the big day!!! Funny Faces Project will be shot starting at noon in the Iowa City Ped-Mall outside of the Iowa City public Library and The Bread Garden Market!! If you are free Please come and participate in the project, I'll be Shooting for quite a while.

We are off and running on the first exhibition printing on the new printing station!! The soon to be released prints will be selected from the abstract study on chromatic & spherical aberration, check out the images, the prints will be for sale and are 18x24". Set up and appointment and enjoy some nice wine and a exhibition review in person before they are sent off!! ~Thanks for all of the support~

What is the funny faces project?

The Funny Faces Project is a noverbal attempt to develop and promote ethno-relativism through human expression. I have hand selected over 150 models of all races, religions, classes, and creeds and simply ask for everyone to make funny faces for children. On the surface one would think the project is for the kids (which it is inherently) but it is aimed for adult retrospect. I will have for example a Hindu, Muslim, and a priest placed next to each other. As adults we have knowledge of the social, political, and religious conflicts that exist, yet as we watch innocent kids respond with laughter one must realize the these conflicts are taught socialistically. The point is to force us to think about humanity, and us as a unified human race who are all subject the same human condition...

Hi my long lost Photo friends, I am developing an exhibition called the Funny Faces project that will be going up for the Iowa City School District for their international day. I need adults off all races, religions, and creeds to be models and simply make funny faces for the children. Let me know if you are interested and stay tuned for the exhibition to be posted soon...
