This year will be 10 years since my grandma passed. Lately, and especially on Mother’s Day, my heart has been aching for her something fierce.

I lived 2 miles down the road from her growing up, and the remainder of her life as her neighbor. She was the baker of our favorite homemade from scratch sweets… she had the cutest little giggle… and she’d always accompany those giggles with her hand over her mouth… she was always ready to pour us a cup of our favorite drip coffee… and if there was something cooking on the stove, we were always offered a sample. She was our safe space and the epitome of unconditional love. In fact, I can guarantee that anyone who walked through her kitchen was hit with the same unconditional love that she shared with me and my kids.

There isn’t a part of her that hasn’t infused how I do everyday life… and while I know she’s still with me in spirit, I wish I had more tangible evidence of her… especially now.

I wish I had more pictures of us together. I wish I had close ups of her hands, her eyes, the wrinkles around her smile when she giggled with me… just the little things I took for granted when she was here.

Since I don’t have those things… and I’ll never get that time back with her… I figured the next best thing would be to offer them to YOU.

If your grandma (or even your grandpa) is still alive and could tolerate my bu****it for a bit, I would be honored if you would let me photograph you two together. I have some availability on May 23 and I reserved the cutest little studio inside of Plain Jane in Crowley for these “Maw Maw minis.”

Notre Dame Senior '26, Mr. Cameron Stelly, y'all!

He took me around his childhood home and told me stories of the morning he got his first BB gun, the fun he used to have swimming in the pond in front of his house, and showed me the tree he used to climb as a kid...

Sessions like this always bring a smile to my heart...to see the way his face lit up talking about those special memories with the all people he loves.

Also... can we talk about how he could basically start a modeling career?!
