Now that the buzz of fair season is over and fall is getting underway, I wanted to highlight a few things from last week.

I was able to donate those amazing school supplies to Wright Denny Intermediate School, a school that shaped my education and love for the arts. I got to see my principal and teachers who are still there and how overjoyed they were to receive these supplies. The principal, Mr.Walters, explained to me how the budget for supplies has not changed in the 16 years since I attended the school and the price of supplies has only gone up. With your help, we were able to help them get the items they needed to the students to assist them in their education!

Another highlight from my week was the Jefferson County Fair auction. I was ecstatic to be able to purchase the grand champion market rabbits! 🐇 I’m thankful to have a business that helps support the youth in more ways than one. Being able to make a purchase at the auction has become a yearly goal of mine and I hope to continue to do this every year.

Thank you again to each of you. Without your support, these things wouldn’t be possible. I’ve built my business on giving back and I hope to continue to do that and inspire other businesses to do the same. If there’s anything you can be in this world, choose to be kind. 🫶🏼

Yesterday I wrapped up my School Supply drive and I’m so happy to report that I received over $1,100 worth of school supplies to donate to our local schools! 🍎✏️📓

Thank you to everyone who donated, your support will help so many kids this school year!

I’m also happy to introduce my teacher giveaway winner - Stacey Moreland! She received a rolling bag filled with school supplies, gift cards and goodies for her classroom.

“I’m really looking forward to meeting my new group of students! I’ve also been working on some really cool lessons over the summer that I’m excited to do in my classroom.”

What is one thing you want your students to know coming into the school year?
“6th grade is a big transition year for kids. It’s the first year of middle school! At times, it can be very overwhelming. I want my students to know they never need to be nervous or scared to ask for help. Whether it’s help with academics or just navigating middle school, there are so many wonderful teachers at MuMS that want to help them succeed!”

The FIRST night of my school supply drive was an absolute success! Thank you to all the families who came out today and brought so many donations. I’m looking forward to see what tomorrow brings! 📓✏️📸

Seeing the success each of these kids had this past week was incredible! They have a lot to be proud of and I can wait to see what next year brings for them.

Giving back to our community has been a moral instilled in me since I was a kid. Growing up, I was fortunate enough to be in several organizations that participated in many community service activities and now it’s my turn to carry on those services myself.

Last year I hosted “Photos for Food” and together we donated over 130 pounds of food to our local community!

This year I want to give back to our schools and educators. The hardships they face to stock their classrooms with fundamental supplies to help teach our youth is a challenge. Our students deserve to be taught in classroom with the essentials they need to grow a higher education. I am hosting “Photos for School Supplies” AND a special giveaway to one lucky teacher in our community! All items will be donated directly to our local schools for distribution among the classrooms.
