On February 1, 2026, the Full Moon commonly called the Snow Moon, named for the heavy snowfall typical of February. It is also known by other traditional names such as the Hungry Moon, Storm Moon, Bear Moon, Groundhog Moon, and Bald Eagle Moon, reflecting winter hardship, harsh weather, and animal behavior. Together, these names symbolize endurance, survival, and quiet strength during the deepest part of winter. ❄️

The sky is absolutely breathtaking tonight — painted in soft hues of pink, orange, and lavender, as if nature itself took a brush and created a masterpiece. It's one of those moments that makes you pause, take a deep breath, and just admire the quiet beauty of the world above.

What is Rainbow 🌈 Springs?
Rainbow Springs is a first-magnitude artesian spring—meaning it produces a massive amount of fresh water daily (over 490 million gallons!). It's located in Dunnellon, Florida, about 90 minutes north of Tampa and just west of Ocala.

Fun Facts
🌈 The rainbow in its name comes from the multi-colored mineral content that refracts light in the water, creating a shimmering effect.
🪨 The area has been inhabited by humans for over 10,000 years, including by the Timucuan people.
🎡 From the 1930s–1970s, Rainbow Springs was a privately run tourist attraction with zoo animals and glass-bottom boats.
🌿 It became a Florida State Park in 1990, preserving the spring for public enjoyment.
