Past and Present Simley Football
After 13 years of Simley Football and taking over 100,000 photo's its hard to not head down to the highschool on a Friday night! I am on to the next chapter with my son's UWRF Falcon Football career. Beautiful weekend for a long-awaited UWRF football scrimmage! Pics taken waayy on top the bleachers, but you could still sense the excitement in the air for the boys to finally get on the field in front of their fans and play some FOOTBALL! #49

Though it was a seasoned shortened by Covid, this Simley Spartan team led by the 2020 Seniors battled through each game and gave it their all! Senior Night paid off with a big win against Hastings 24-14. Click here for more game pics:

What a night! Chilly, but that didn't stop this Simley team from punching in the last touchdown to win the game 21-14! 3rd straight win in 2 years over rival SSP! Loved seeing several of last years teammates come out to cheer on the boys. Way to go Spartans! Back at it! I thought I retired from High School Sports since my last boy graduated, but during this strange season I'm happy to be back for the home games. And what a great game it was! The Simley Spartans came out strong and rolled through flattening out DeLasalle at every turn with a final score of 40-13! Way to go Spartans! Glad to see this reversal for MN High School Football, and hope to see all Division College Football follow!!

The Minnesota State High School League, in a meeting with more than 400 people listening in, reversed its Aug. 4 decision to postpone both sports to spring because of COVID-19 concerns.

It was a great feeling getting this dream team of Seniors back for a graduation photo op! They had such an amazing and MAGICAL season. To the mamas, I included all the shots because many are, well...hilarious! I couldn't choose just one so you can take your pick! Thanks to the boys patience on taking the pics but it sure looked like they had fun too. ;) We sure missed the Seniors that couldn't be there. Wishing all of these amazing Seniors an adventurous and successful journey ahead!

As the 2020 school year comes to an end I wanted to recognize our two Simley Seniors and Statisticians on a great wrestling career topped off with a 2020 TEAM Championship win! These two captured our hearts over the years as we watched them grow from little boys to young men with an inner strength and face your fear mentality. The stat girls stood faithfully by recording stats, video and providing support. They have learned to be all they can be! Enjoy the journey ahead and I have no doubt these Seniors will take the world by storm! :)
