I can’t stress enough how everything does *not* have to be perfect for your newborn session. Jane was actually not very happy for some of this session, which is very common, but as moms I know the feeling of expecting everyone to look perfect and act perfectly for photos. But, once you let that expectation go and simply go along with whatever happens, then you will actually start to enjoy yourself and make photos that feel true to you. So to my new moms, get rid of those unrealistic expectations that no one but yourself is holding over you (too real? 🫣) and soak in the realness of the season you’re in, because that’s what you’ll truly want to remember!

It was total fate that Hallie and Brian were camping in the Tetons for their honeymoon at the same time I was traveling through for a wedding in Idaho. I know Hallie from high school, and randomly happened to watch her Instagram story that morning showing that they were in Grand Teton National Park. I immediately messaged her asking if we could set up a session later that day, and we made it happen! So thankful to them for modeling for me during my 2nd work trip out there, hopefully I can continue to work more there in the coming years, it’s truly one of my favorite places ever!!

I’m offering 15 minute sessions at $200 ($100 due when booking for your deposit and $100 due the day of the session) with a minimum return of 35 edited photos. These will take place at Campbells Covered Bridge on Sunday November 1st.

Who would’ve ever guessed that while being just acquaintances in school together in Indiana, I would be flying across the country years later to photograph Chase’s wedding in Idaho! How amazing it’s been to reconnect with people, celebrate love, and explore a new part of the country with my family. I call this series: The Porch Ladies

I haven’t stopped thinking about this first photo since I saw it on my computer screen. Yes, your wedding is obviously about the two of you and the commitment of your love, but it also allows your families to come together and see people who they maybe don’t typically get to see! I just love these ladies having fun together watching the wedding reception from the porch and getting to gab and laugh with each other.

I can’t tell you how excited I was during the first photo of this collection when this mama duck crossed right behind Caroline + Patrick with her 3 little ducklings… and that was just the very start of the session! 🪿🐥🐥🐥

I was their wedding photographer in 2022, and now in 2026 I got to document the next greatest thing in their lives: becoming parents! 🤍
