The 6th Annual Uniting Hearts Music Festival was such a blessing to attend. I spent the day with a few of my friends and family. It was a great day to reconnect, worship, and pray together. The bands were awesome, so I'll be posting a photo from the festival from time to time.

Last Saturday I was spending time with my sons, and one of them decided to setup his Legos, in a fun way.

I was already practicing with my new camera when he asked me to take some shots.

A couple of nights ago, I asked him to sit in on the editing. He was choosing the final look and we decided to make his toys into a poster, only for him.

This collaboration brought me back to my college days in film photography, where I had the distinct pleasure of shooting my final project on a Hasselblad camera, of a world entirely made out of clay, paper, a watercolor painting, and shadows.

Catherine worked so hard on her turkey, but her and her husband decided to put the bird in the oven too early!

With the help of a trusted friend and teammate to take these photos (as I was in the production itself), Diana Pimentel did a marvelous job of handling two cameras - at the same time - one of which was mine. With the photos, I worked my magic and created images that could pop off the pages of a pop-up book, or be mistaken as old film strip stills from Golden Age Era Hollywood. Here we open the curtain to a Christmas Family Dinner. The conversations that go on there. . . welp. . . you just had to be there.

Part Three: A Swamp, a Barn, and a Green Thief

We now enter into a world very different from before. First, we stop by a Louisiana Swamp to hear a good story and hear some harmonica playin’. Next, we head over to the barn for some Hee-Haw jokes. Then, a couple of ice-skaters pass by to the tunes to a live band. Finally, we have Elvis in the building, as long as he isn't stolen by a hairy, green THIEF!
