I’ve been debating posting these photos for quite some time. I know that posting these might deter some potential clients. But I’ve decided that I don’t care haha. Whether you agree with the No Kings movement or not, it is a hugely important movement in our country right now. And as a photographer, I have a unique role as a documentarian of this movement. With this latest protest, 1 out of every 50 people attended a protest somewhere within the country. And I know there are even more that wanted to attend but could not for one reason or another. That’s huge.

I’ve been told by privileged people to not post these photos, or other politically motivated photos, because it would be bad for business. Or it would drive away customers. Or that it simply is not important for me to post here. But I think I’ve decided that I don’t care. Photography is political. Documentation is important. And I am not the type of person to sit idly by.

And whether you agree with the No Kings/anti-Trump movement or not, photographs tell important stories to relevant moments in life. And I hope that no matter where you land on the spectrum, you can understand the importance of photography.
