Four years ago I saw imperfections.
Today I see growth.…

Four years ago, I took some self-portraits of myself.

At the time, I remember being so hard on myself. I looked at every little detail and every “imperfection.” I told myself the photos weren’t good enough…

Today I found those photos again.

And something funny happened… I didn’t see the imperfections anymore. I saw a different version of me. A younger me. A me that was trying, growing, learning, and showing up.

And now I’m actually so thankful that I took those photos.

Because four years later, those pictures are not about how I looked. They are about the moment, and the growth that happened since then.

Sometimes we are our own worst critics.
But time has a beautiful way of changing how we see ourselves.

Today I don’t see imperfections.
I see growth.
And I’m really grateful I captured that moment.

This is exactly why I love having a photography studio…

It makes it possible for me to do a beautiful mix of family and newborn photos in one session.

Seeing parents with their new baby and capturing those first family moments is so special to me.

Without a studio, this wouldn’t really be possible. I’m so happy and grateful to have a cozy space where I can create these memories for families. 🤍📸
