It has been such a gift to photograph my close friends during their seasons of motherhood.

I was so honored to capture Brooke and Jon’s at-home session with their son. I was pregnant at the time, and I had my daughter four days later (she came three weeks early)!

I approach my newborn sessions very differently from my other sessions. Sometimes it looks like posing sleepy babies; other times it’s me sitting back while a parent feeds the baby. We talk about the sleepless nights, feeding struggles, and postpartum emotions. I’m not there just to take photos but also to check in.
