One of my favorite moments of the day: when the couple enters the reception hand in hand with all of their people cheering them on 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 it. gets. me. HYPE!!! And if I’m being honest it also makes me emotional. Here is why. Marriage isn’t always easy. Most days you won’t wake up with the “feeling” of being newly married and lovestruck. You’ll forget the emotional high of walking into that room full of people happier than you have ever been. But I hope and pray that each of my couples will remember the PEOPLE that were there cheering them on when they said “I do.” I hope they know that sometimes even marriage can take a village of support, and it’s okay to use it. Marriage is the besttttttt but it can be hard - so let’s keep showing up and cheering each other on, not just on the wedding day, but until the end of time. I love people and I love marriage and seeing it all mixed together in one room tugs on my heart strings.

When you catch the tear mid first look with dad😭 Everyone always debates a first look with the groom, but what about with your dad? Or your brother? Ladies, your wedding day can be a very emotional day for your dad and giving him this special moment could mean the world. And if you are anything like this brother, who couldn’t use an extra HYPE man before you walk down the isle?!? I mean look at the way he is literally hyping up her twirl which then brings him to tears. I know first looks between bride + groom aren’t for everyone, but I encourage you to think about the other men in your life who would love a special moment on your big day. I’m. A. Fan. 👏🏼

• THE MARLIN FAMILY • Babies are not always exactly cooperative when it comes to smiling for the camera, but the job always gets done & the tiny moments of laughter I get to capture are always my favorite. Della loved being chased by mom + dad and rocked that dress - even with her diaper underneath!!! And should I even mention how good looking these parents are? 10/10🔥 love this time of year with all of the sweet families!

This year I made it my goal to give couples more freedom to incorporate something into their engagement session that really represents them and their relationship. These two knocked it out of the park for pt.1 of their photos! Nothing better than summer bonfires!
