First of all… HOLY WOW, this momma to be is absolutely glowing!! Secondly, Monday’s shoot was a bittersweet one for me. Sweet because it was my first session back after needing to take time off from the business — a little sad because it was my last session in this studio. I’ve loved this little gem of a place so much, but it’s time to go in a new direction. I’ll still have a studio space to use for newborn sessions, and I’m also going to be testing out the option to do studio-style newborn portraits in your home!

As I’m continue to come back to work on a gradual basis, I am opening a very limited spots for summer/fall newborns, and outdoor maternity and family shoots. Diana is continuing to assist me with messaging, planning, and editing, and has been an absolutely godsend!! Currently the best place to get in touch with either of us is here, through Facebook messenger, while we continue to figure out email integration. ❤️❤️

Hey everyone, this is Ashlee, I wanted to give some updates as well as post more details about what I’ve been going through for further clarity. ***PLEASE NOTE*** the website and my work email are NOT down, they are up and running as usual, all technical issues have been resolved. :)

Hey everyone! I wanted to "introduce" you to the new page admin, Diana — she is going to be helping me with messaging and coordinating getting galleries to fellow photographers while I’m needing to step back momentarily from photography. So so thankful for this lady!!!

Galleries are going to be processed in the order they were taken, and this will begin Monday the 28th. I’ll still be doing the artistic edits on the photos, but will be getting help for the retouching portion (the time consuming part!) from fellow photographers. Once I’ve gotten a gallery to a photographer they will take over communications with you and provide you with a timeline for delivery.

Technical difficulties with my website and email are also being resolved and everything will be up and running again soon.

I’m so blown away by everyone in the photography community, both local and beyond, who has reached out to help me during this time and offered support — it’s much needed and I’m so thankful!! I’m looking forward to working with this “team” of generous people, and excited for a future filled with healing, support, and growth.

I’ll be posting something more in depth about my journey with mental health and plans for the business soon, so please keep an eye out for that.

4 weeks ago I came down with covid, and while it wasn’t a life threatening case, I was knocked off my feet for a while. I’ve also had some issues with long-covid that have made recovery problematic. I keep thinking I’m through the worst of it, then have a string of bad days. In addition to that, as many of you know, I have a migraine disorder and was experiencing a flair up prior to this in December. Right when the migraines started to settle down, I got hit with covid.

I’ve also been battling with some extremely difficult situations with my mental health and have had to take a step back, put myself first, and make sure I get the support I need to find stability.

This has all put email/text responses, and image delivery on a huge delay, and I’m truly sorry for that. No one’s pictures are lost or unavailable, and you all are very important to me — this has just been an incredibly difficult, scary time with my physical and mental health. I will be reaching out to everyone individually as soon as I can, however I wanted to post this here since I know a lot of people check this page for quick updates.

IF YOU ARE WAITING ON A GALLERY DELIVERY FROM ME, I’m currently getting some support from other photographers in my community to help me complete images and get everything to you as quickly as possible. I should have additional information on this, as well as a better idea of a timeline, around Monday or Tuesday.

Please understand that this is a very raw and vulnerable time. I’m still battling. I’m still needing extra space to care for myself and still seeking healing. I’m still needing to prioritize my health and well-being for a bit longer before I can come back fully to the business. I’m not sure entirely what the next 2 to 4 weeks will look like. But any thoughts, prayers, or good vibes would be so deeply appreciated.

Whew! It's been a crazy few weeks in between holidays and a "fun" flairup with migraine issues -- and I've definitely been MIA. I'm working hard to get caught up on messages and galleries absolutely ASAP!! In other news, my appointment coming up on the 28th with my neurologist to have my meds upped is pretty much the best Christmas present of my life. 😂🤦‍♀️ May or may not be counting down the minutes...
