Here is the first quarter of my 2025 Beauty Myth pinup calendar. It is one half of this project, the other half being the art n**e version. Together, each character tells a story based on a famous piece of literature.

Unfortunately, due to the puritanical nature of our social media (which, I might add, are perfectly fine with regularly showing us violence and hate speech) I can't share the other half here. 2023 Barbie Series

A few years ago, I shot and edited a few Barbie concepts. I edited each one in a custom box. This year, I wanted to make the box larger and include accesories related to the theme. I spent quite a lot of time on the details of each box and am really happy with how they came out.

This year I also added a second part. It's supposed to look as if someone was playing with Barbie, got distracted by something else, then tossed her and her items on the floor in a pile. I worked with each model to come up with a custom theme and they got to help interpret this weird idea.

Zodiac - Cancer ♋️

Model: Chi Chi

Cancer is a cardinal water sign ruled by the moon, and is represented by a crab. Did you know crabs have ten legs? For some reason I always thought they had 8. Anyway, that's why Chi Chi has 10 limbs.

I tried to tie together stars, the moon, and water. Last thing, you can see the Cancer constellation overlaid on the photo.
