More Bowman Gray racing on film.
So let's talk about the camera I used:
My Nickelodeon Photo Blaster from the 90s.
I adore the playful look of this thing but...
I think it's time to retire this camera to my display shelf at home. I taped up the back and the light leaks are still crazy bad, plus you need pretty much total sunshine even with 400-800 speed film.
Maybe using expired film in this thing is 't ideal in that regard after all.
It's fun having a quarter frame camera and all, as those are hard to find.
But knowing I need to shoot 96 or 144 exposures to kill a roll of film is kind of weird. This roll stayed in this camera for 6-7 months. (the other photos from the roll aren't really worth sharing). This isn't the camera I keep in the car or my pocket to snapshot every day life as it's clunky, and while definitely not valuable, I don't want it to sit in my hot car. (if you're curious, my daily life shooter is my H35N, which is honestly perfect for the goal with the right film)
So I only bust this out when I know I want to use it, which puts me in a weird position where I don't put high quality film in it, nor use it very often, but like the novelty of it enough to want to keep it.
I might get experimental and see what a roll of Portra 800 looks like in this thing just for the fun of it, if I can get to a race track again this year, then retire it to "the shelf "
It's a fun conversation piece but man do the images it produces suck.
