My name is Amber Thomas and I am the creator of English Rose Photography. I feel like my photography has brought out the creativity and artist in me that I was always and have been, searching for. This is something that I thoroughly enjoy, brings me constant euphoria, and I am wanting to share it with you. I want to share with you what I feel when I photograph something or someone. I want to bring

love, peace, beauty, and hope to you in photos. When I am out and about, there are certain scenes, times in a moment, that just make me blissfully happy and when I take the picture, I want to capture what I am seeing and feeling, and try to bring it to a picture, to share with everyone else. I have a strong interest and love for wildlife and nature and the outdoors. Times when I am on a hike, the wind is blowing just right, the hint of fragrant smell of a flower in the distance, sun is shining, sounds of wildlife, I want to bring that to the picture, I want to try and show you something so beautiful. I am also a fan of much older houses and buildings and I want to take that photo, of that house or building, and show you the beauty of it, even if you think it looks like an old shabby building. I also love photographing people and started that part of my photography in November 2013 when I had my first volunteers. I have found my love runs deep for photographing weddings and couples. but I will also photograph just about anyone. Its a side of photography I was almost fearful of at first but have come to love so much. Thank you for taking the time to view my page and my photographs, I am so grateful for that and for you. Another portraiture session in the books. 🫶✨ This was an extended family session and it was so much fun!! 🤍🤍 One of my dearest friends I graduated high school with, really wanted to get family photos done with her parents, siblings, sister and brother inlaws, and nieces and nephews and I’m grateful she asked me! These kind of sessions are so special 🤍 The family has kindly asked for photos to not be posted but I wanted to show off the cute packaging I do for my clients. I put client photos on a jump drive and most cases I will purchase it, but in this case, my client was so sweet and kind to get all 6 drives for me as it was a total of 6 families 🤍 My turn around time to receive your photos ranges from 2-4 weeks. ☺️

I went to school at Marian College (now University) with Maranda and we have been friends ever since then. She met her husband Kyle while a student at Marian and they fell in love and the rest is history. This is the place where he had proposed to her so it was already a very special place to her. Her and I both LOVE hiking and the outdoors and I had never really been down to the Wetlands at Marian so she choose this spot and between the beauty of this place and the sunlight, we were able to get some awesome photographs.

November is my anniversary month of when I first gave portraiture photography a go. 12 years ago! This was my first session. My college friend Maranda, along with her husband, volunteered to be my first clients into starting my portfolio. It turned out so beautiful and I was so grateful for the chance and opportunity. I was scared as I was completely new in photographing subjects besides wildlife and nature but it’s safe and confident of me to say, I totally nailed it. ☺️🩷
