Happy Holidays everyone! ✨ I suck at taking self portraits and being active on social media. This year has sucked for me honestly, I’ve been fighting waves of depression and no motivation to leave my bed. I’ve been in a creative rut nearly all year and have really been fighting creating art/ taking photos in general. Covid has me fighting body image issues I would have never thought to have and battling with thoughts like “is my work even good?” Turning 25 and having what seems to be a quarter life crisis sucks but I know that next year can only get better. I have a lot of ideas/ goals I want to accomplish, and I can’t wait to see those ideas come to life. thanks to anyone who follows along. It’s been a weird year. ❤️ much love b

Today marks day 2 of my big project in the studio! ☺️ I’m converting a storage room into a darkroom so I’ll be able to process my own film and pick back up on my wet plate hobby. I’m already geeking out about how much fun I’ll have and I’m only painting tomorrow lol 😂 here’s some cute photos of Paloma in the meantime! 💖

This month I’m participating in dry December. ✨ Being in the industry makes it extremely easy to drink every night after your shift and this past month I realized how much I’m actually drinking. Bartending isn’t just a job, it’s an art form to me as well. I LOVE creating cocktails and trying new spirits but separating that love and just being bored/socially drinking has been hard for me honestly. And no one really talks about that. The struggle has been real but I’m proud I’ve been sober for the past 10 days. I’ve been making mocktails out of sparkling waters, trying new brands, and I’ll be photographing my journey. What’s your go to non-alcoholic drink after a hard day? 🥃

Krystal and I used to work with each other at Bakersfield. We both have moved on and now she’s a bomb ass bartender at Jailbird and I’m now at Union 50. I’m so happy with how her photos turned out, what an angel 👼✨

Here is a sneak peek of my series highlighting female artists/musicians in the Indianapolis area. Jordan was the perfect person to start this off. She has such an unique style and personality, and was so easy to work with. So thank you for driving to Indy to make this shoot happen. ❤️ Since working for PATTERN I’ve been exposed to more of the music side of Indy. Although I have met some amazing artists I noticed a lack of female artists or lack of promotion for said female artists. So this project started with asking friends if they knew any all female bands or musicians. My hope is to promote these badass women and give them photographs that pair well with their music/art. I’ll be posting a blog post soon so if you know any female bands/musicians in Indy/Bloomington etc please drop them in the comments. Really excited to see where this project goes and how it expands. ❤️
