Proud big sisters, squishy newborn cheeks, and sharing blueberries with your chickens. Loved spending a morning with this family! Taking family photos in the everyday spaces just a few weeks before moving to their new house seemed a perfect commemoration the ending of a precious season. Onto the next adventure!

Can’t forget the essentials. 🐰

The Lord made children with this beautiful way of creating wonder in every day things. It’s the best and incredible to witness. It’s us grownups who often forget to pause enough to notice just how wonderful the tiny fingers are reaching for another bite or their wispy hairs and bare feet blur as they run in the opposite direction of where we’re trying to go, or how their eyes light up when they hand us the fifth special rock that’s just “for you”. Does anyone else just want to imprint these moments with our kids into the deepest part of our brains??

So please bring the beloved stuffed animals, the blankie, the paci, or the crackers. Because maybe family pictures are an invite from the Lord to to see the wonder woven into the everyday. Maybe we lost our wonder and He gave us these kids to help us find it again. Maybe His love is revealed as He delights in us grown ups noticing the wonder and becoming like kids again.

Today’s the day!! Wedding day!! Reminiscing on Hannah and Nathan’s engagement session. We walked around their wedding venue and then headed to where they had their first date and many after that. So many memories are held in those places that brought them to a ring and now to an “I do!” That same thoughtfulness and meaning has been poured into their wedding day. Wish you guys could be around them and witness the joy and love and deep friendship they share. It’s so lifegiving to be around them. Here’s to enjoying day one of a lifetime!

Emily and TJ flew up from Florida for a winter engagement session… and it ended up being one of the coldest days ever. They get extra points for enduring the 90 degree difference. We spent our time chatting, laughing, and pretending we could still feel our faces.

TOMORROW is their wedding day!! The sun is warm, it’s a wonderful 70-something and the leaves are starting to turn. Dancing shoes are a must because they’ve been talking up this party for months! Let’s get you two married!!
