For all the beauty surrounding a wedding, the ceremony is still the center of it.

It’s also one of our favorite parts of the day to photograph.

Our approach to wedding photography is intentionally editorial and cinematic: thoughtful composition, beautiful light, rich color and atmosphere.

But ceremony photographs only really matter if you can still feel the people inside them.

The anticipation before the vows. The family watching. The tiny reactions happening just outside the obvious moment. Those are the things that turn a beautifully composed image into something personal.

Photography has become an increasingly important part of Epic Love, but the instinct behind it is the same one that has always guided our films:

There’s a particular kind of energy in the hours before a wedding.

The details are coming together, everyone is in motion, and the emotion of the day starts showing up in tiny ways long before the ceremony begins.

That’s one of our favorite things to photograph.

We love an image with elegance and intention, but the point is never perfection for its own sake. It’s preserving the anticipation underneath it: the tenderness, the laughter, the hands adjusting one last detail.

Our photography lives somewhere between editorial composition and documentary instinct.

Beautiful, but never too polished to feel human.

Cecily + Roy’s evening wedding at Wahoo! Grill.

There’s something about photographing a wedding after the light drops. Color gets richer, shadows become part of the composition, and suddenly the smallest pools of light can feel incredibly intimate.

That atmosphere suited Cecily + Roy perfectly.

It’s also a good expression of the photography we’re building at Epic Love: editorial and carefully composed, cinematic in its use of light and color, but always grounded in real people and real emotion.

We love polish. We love elegance. But we never want an image to become so perfected that you can’t feel the person inside it anymore.

That’s the line we’re always chasing.

Yunfei + Rong, Atlanta.

There’s something beautiful about the quiet gravity of a tea ceremony.

The gestures are deliberate. The room feels close. Family is right there in the center of it.

Yunfei + Rong’s wedding gave us one of those moments where tradition, intimacy, and emotion all seemed to live in the same frame.

We’re always drawn to that kind of beauty. Not spectacle for its own sake, but meaning you can actually feel.

Ritual is one of the things that can make a wedding feel larger than a single day.

For Maeve + Sameer, their three-day Indian-American wedding brought together traditions, families and cultures in a celebration that was deeply personal to them.

For Yunfei + Rong, their Chinese tea ceremony held a different kind of intimacy, built around family, respect and connection.

We love documenting moments like these because the beauty isn’t something created for the camera. It was already there.

Our job is to pay attention.

Kayla + Anthony at Lanier Islands Resort.

This was a beautiful, elegant day, and one we’ve carried with us for reasons far beyond the images.

Anthony has since passed, and we were honored to later create a memorial piece for Kayla and their family.

Looking back at these moments now, what stands out most isn’t the setting or the details, beautiful as they were. It’s the tenderness. The laughter. The way a wedding film can become something more than a record of a day.

Sometimes these images become part of how people remember.

We’re grateful we were trusted with theirs. 🤍

Patricia + David’s Georgia wedding was the first full wedding we ever photographed.

Looking back at it now, you can already see a lot of what became the Epic Love approach.

We’re drawn to photographs that feel elegant, cinematic and thoughtfully composed, but the thing that matters most is always the humanity inside them.

The tenderness. The imperfect little moments. The way two people look at each other when they’ve briefly forgotten there’s a camera nearby.

That’s still what we’re trying to preserve.

“Till death do us part” never looked quite this good. 🖤

Khaki + Nick brought a darker streak to their wedding day: rich fall tones, a little edge, and details that felt romantic without ever getting too precious.

But tucked inside all that atmosphere were the things that mattered most. In this moment, Nick talks about Khaki’s grandfather, a coin collector, while holding a coin with its own meaning for the day.

That mix is exactly what we love: style with a point of view, and something real underneath it.
