I’ve taken a long break from photography. College takes a lot of time – but it’s necessary. I decided to take an updated picture of myself. Hoping to get back at it this spring :)

I just realized I never posted this! If you’ve never taken the time to visit this park, I would highly suggest it. It’s like a hidden gem✨

Winter is not my forte. I forced myself to brave the cold, blow the dust off my camera to get some shots in the snow. This bird is called a Downy Woodpecker, and is a male. His species is quite common in North America. I think he’s quite photogenic against that snowy background 😌

What a perfect autumn shoot with Alanna! I have many more to share in the near future😊🍁

I would describe this as an eerie scene. Just prior to this, there was so much color in the sky. As a landscape enthusiast, I can expect light in the evening to change in stages; daylight, sunset, and twilight - when remaining light after is only emitted as a blue cast. This particular image was shot at twilight - a moment when a long shutter speed can capture more light from a dark scene. At this time, the light is evenly dispersed since the sun is absent, and only soft skylight illuminates the scene.
