Let’s talk about the elephant in the room: boutonniere’s.

There are plenty of types of boutonnières out there now and while most of them are great, some are bad ideas.

Pocket square boutonnières are great ONLY IF your suit has a full pocket, and only if they’re not so top heavy that they fall out every 5 mins.

The original idea with straight pins is my favorite, but you need to supply long pins and make sure there are 2pins for each boutonniere +extras for accidents!

Safety pin boutonnières are ok, but most of them frequently shift depending on the direction of the pin, and the material of the suit.

My suggestion? Stuck with old faithful and get those extra long straight pins! And request a sample from your florist if you are worried about one not working with your specific suit!
