The power of intention on your wedding day. There are no rules here—and sometimes, the unconventional moments become the most meaningful.

One by one, their family and friends brought forward strands of cloth, each carrying their love, support, and intention for the marriage ahead. Those individual strands were braided together around the couple—symbolically weaving two people, two families, and one community into a life shared.

A reminder that while marriage belongs to two people, they don’t walk through it alone. 🤍

So many people have asked if I still photograph seniors since it’s not the primary work you see on this page—and the answer is YES 🤍

During wedding season, I keep most of my weekends reserved for weddings, but my weekdays are still open for seniors, families and couples.

And honestly…give me a gorgeous garden, a little movement and a senior ready to have fun, and I’m very much still in my element 🌹

Where to cut wedding costs—and where not to:

Cut the favors. I promise, no one will miss them.

Cut the traditional wedding party. No wedding-party bouquets, proposal boxes, gifts or paying for all the extra things. Your people can still get ready with you, stand beside you and absolutely spoil you—without all the traditional expectations.

Cut the elaborate centerpieces. I once went to a wedding where each table had five mismatched vases with one rose in each. It was simple and so beautiful. Do that!

Cut the fancy cake. Get a small cake for cutting and grab cupcakes from Costco. I’m telling you—no one cares!!! They just want something sweet 😂

But don’t cut the sentimental music or the freedom that comes with having a DJ and MC who can carry the evening for you.

Don’t cut the experienced photographer who will notice, capture and preserve the moments you didn’t even get to see.

And don’t cut the person you can hand all the stress to, so you can breathe, stay present and actually experience the day you’ve spent so long waiting for.

Spend less on the things people will leave behind.

Invest in the people who allow you to be fully there. 🤍

How is summer already almost over?

We spend so much time desperately waiting for certain moments to finally arrive, and then somehow they’re over before we’ve even had time to take them in.

Maybe that’s why I love photos so much. They give us somewhere to keep the moments that moved too quickly. 🤍
